I thought Stanford University was also considered a member of the IL

@19EHF The IL is an east coast sports league compromised of some of the oldest schools in the nation. Stanford is on the west coast, and as a result, not as old of a school. That being said, Stanford is on the same level as Harvard,Yale,Princeton and even more prestigious than the other five ivies. Essentially, IL isn't synonymous with "best in the nation", it just so happens that every IL school is amazing. There are many non-IL schools like MIT, Stanford, Duke that are not IL but great

Yeah now Penn State is known for the sex scandal. I feel bad because this is such an amazing school and now its reputation is tarnished

@19EHF *sigh*, Penn State isn't the same thing as the University of Pennsylvania. Penn State (scandal school) is a public university with tens-of-thousands of students and multiple campuses, while Univ. of Penn (UPenn) is a small, highly selective and private university in Philadelphia.

@mutatedlavalamp My bad. If your a UPenn student i didnt mean no disrespect, its just i usually get the two confused. I think UPenn is a great school as are the other IL schools

@19EHF It's cool. I'm not a UPenn student, just from the area. I just find it unfortunate that such a great school (UPenn) is being associated with this terrible, terrible scandal just cause it has a similar name to Penn State
