Novice, polishing this way is like back in the stoned ages... High Speed Buffers with custom cooked aluminum polish, auto rotated. Leave this work to real pro's, but there are not many of us who will show you our trade-craft...there's a reason for it. I have polished Aluminum for 20 years, trucks, Rv's, trailers, boats, u name it I do it, this guy does not know what he's doing.
a bro check out "tony metal art" im out of fresno, ca. i have not seen anybody near my finishing. Been doing this for 10 years. i have a small video on here but i do everything from wheels to gas tankers! Check me out
Sweet. I think the biggest think I ever polished was an airstreem trailer. It took about an entire work week but I was like a mirror when we were done. Then they let it sit outside and it got all fucked up again.
@Fastambermedia I have an aluminum polishing business and someone wants me to polish their AirStream trailer. Was the one you did clearcoated? what did you use to remove the clearcoat, just sanded it? or is there a more time efficient way of doing it
this guy puts some elbow grease and does stuff by hand and you flame him for it, i respect this guy cause it takes me a couple of hours to fully detail my rims, and to me this is a hell of a better result then using a tool, cause after all said and done you usually have to go back and redo what you already done, if you are using a power ball or a buffer or something like that
The wheels are about 2 years old. I polish them every few months so they don't get so bad. There are few sets of wheel I have had to wet sand from 400-1500 grit then polish. It takes a long time. Yes there is big difference between polishing a well kept set of wheels and restoring a beat up set. If you ge them new and take good care of them they will last. Those wheels look brand new but have a few hundred thousand miles on them because I take really good care of them.
Sorry if you have been asked this before but do you seal the wheels afte you have polished them with a spray laquer>? or do you just use a wax sealant etc? I polished my alloys on my car but after winter they start to show signs of corrosion and now I thin I will have to strip the laquer off and polish all over again.. Any advice would be great. !¬

you need to use lighter fluid(that you would use for a charcoal grill) or you can use acetone. its works alot better trust me
