Congratulations youve just wasted $400 and you could have got a pair of sennhieser HD600's for the same price as these beats. The bass on beats are just too overpowering and ruin the track in play. What ever track your listening to The producer made the bass at a certain level for a reason. Studios = bad sound quality but are much lighter/comfortable at the cost of having a poor build quality

Audio Technica ATH-M50 = better sound quality than the Pro's, much lighter on your head/comfortable, are made of a durable plastic over the Studio's brittle plastic, only cost around $150 USD

V-Moda Crossfade M80 = much better sound and build quality than the Studios (made of metal, not plastic), $200 USD

@abrahamon60 I wouldn't trust eBay too much for the Beats headphones...there are a LOT of fake sellers out there...it's kind of ridiculous. If you don't mind the fake ones, there are mixed reviews about their sound quality (some say they're the same, others disagree).

As a result of that, personally I would go for the V-Moda M80's. They're really durable, lightweight, don't require batteries, have better sound quality than the Studios, and still manage to look decent.

I don't have this particular pair of headhpones, but I do use coiled (studio) cables. From my experience, I haven't had them tangle on me. They do a good job of falling back to shape when not being stretched.

People hear is the advice i have to give. If you want to buy any Beats product either you get the pros or the tours. Trust me i had 3 PAIRS of Solos break on me in one day. ONE DAY 3 pairs broke. 1 of the hinges were fucked up i exchanged and they where white so it had a bigass black mark on it and when i used the cloth to wipe it the thing turned red. We exchanged for another pair and the hinge was already broken. And i didn;t do anything. Studios are the same shit

@510Erock No, I would also recommend getting a pair of earphones, though I would say that the tours are the worst fail of the beats, which is an achievement.

I would recommend the Sony EX600 in-ear or the Sennheiser IE6. Though if you need to burn more money, the Sony EX1000 can be had for 340USD. The isolation is crappy on the EX earphones, but you would want to hear your surroundings. If you want isolation or a fit, try attaching some comply foam tips.

As nice as the S4 is, it isn't that good a performer. It can beat some earphones that cost more, but there very many competitors on the in-ear market, some which make even better values. Second, the build on the S4, and unfortunately like most inexpensive in-ears, is quite lacking. You also need to consider that I also recommended the EX600 for its lack of isolation, which is useful when you are exercising and can use spatial awareness.
