OK, improvisation is obviously not his strong point, but when he gets organised ie towards 6:00 he really has a knack of just picking the perfect note. Sounds like a Tarrantino film for a bit there.

Ranking music can be kind of simple if one artist has significantly more record sale than the other during similar if not the same era. And then eventually it's going to be measured by longevity.

To take an extreme example, "Amazing Grace" is very very simple compared to modern music, but it'll spread and will last much longer than any modern song.

It's no question Slash is much more popular. Therefore in "Popular" music terms, he wins. Skill, feeling, etc... To each their own.

@caponi14 get better with your pinky. It tends to be the slowest of fingers. Play ascending scales around the 10-12 fret mark using only your middle, index, and pinky fingers. Example, from the low E to high E, play 10-12-13, on each string. Practice getting faster and faster.
