Well judging by the comments none of you guys play an instrument. I give synyster some respect because i like A7X, but he's not amazing. He has no tone, and any one can play 3 notes fast with some fast picking. If you seek real talent look up Petrucci, Malmsteen, or Greg Howe, or John Mayer, or Clapton, or God forbid I say Stevie Ray Vaughn. I just hate when overly distorted Metal guitarist get labeled as guitar gods, when they aren't even exceptional.
Until you have actually heard a7x live, dont judge. I went to see them in Vancouver, and syn's performance was flawless, not sloppy at all. It's easy to judge based on on a youtube video. And a lot of what he does is simplistic, but that doesn't mean anything, what hes capable of is mind blowing. Much love for a7x <3

@vaichild I like him because he, unlike most, can play his own shit live. He's a talented guy who has some pretty good solos and sweeps well when he WANTS TO. But yeah...As an A7X fan myself, I will admit that most A7X fans make him out to be better than what he is. Same with Slipknot, and Slash.

i still think slash is a much better player. he can play live and can solo with the best of them. my only problem with him is hes only good in bands. even his solo album was just a compilation albums of him with other artists.

I prefer A7X back from all that remains and sounding the seventh trumpet than pop metally style a7x, all in all they are a great band but I miss hearing shadows amazing voice and his screams.

@IrishRocker7710 He is overrated for sure. I've never been able to listen to an entire A7X song, so I'd never heard any of his solos. He's really just underwhelming, and the other guys in A7X are just as douchey, if not more so.

@carmen13to14 I don't remember, it was the instructional video with syn and zakky sitting in chairs, and they were playing songs from city of evil, and there self titled album. Zakky says that you should always be creative and then syn slayes all those guitarists, I'll try to see if I can find it

Yes Synyster is a great and melodic guitarist... but for gods sake hes not even close to being the best. Synyster is the best at harmony and sliding solos today in my opinion. I think Dan Donegan is the best at creating a solo that suits the song not itself. Jim Root is the best at creating extremely unique solos. Alexi Laiho is the best at overall shredding. They are all some of my favorites from this generation. By the way, Syn is a lot cleaner today than he was here, I've seen A7X live. I think he quit drinking after Jimmy died.

Not gonna lie I used to kiss the ground synyster walked on, but now I hate him. Honestly I don't understand why everyone worships him, he is a cocky douche and there are millions of guitarists better than him. Plus half of his solos are random notes anyways. But his custom is so amazing!!!! It looks so bad ass, andits one of the best guitars I've ever played. Plus black on red is pure fear haha

Yes Synyster is a great and melodic guitarist... but for gods sake hes not even close to being the best. If mabey 99% of everyone here would listen to a few other good metal guitarists then mabey we would relize this because as far as I know guitarists like Alexi Laiho could do this with their eyes closed.

Synyster is the best at harmony and sliding solos today in my opinion. I think Dan Donegan is the best at creating a solo that suits the song not itself. Jim Root is the best at creating extremely unique solos. Alexi Laiho is the best at overall shredding. They are all some of my favorites from this generation. By the way, Syn is a lot cleaner today than he was here, I've seen A7X live. I think he quit drinking after Jimmy died.
