My dad use to finger pick this song for me many years ago. This brings back some good memories. You are the best I have seen on You Tube other than some of the classic greats such as Chet Atkins, Merl Trvis....
@kingdimak1300 I used my buddy;s youtube account my account is stonelight7. I have been studying you picking and I think i can learn a lot. My dad played a whole lot like Merl Travis so I can pick a little like him already. I have you on my favorites and will continue to go to your page. Good job on all your picking.

Jeez man .... how many fantastic guitars you got ? I cant even afford one .... I have an old simon and patrick accoustic which is a bitch to play and gives me sore fingertips .... very good playing my friend and all due respect .
Great playing! This is a personal favorite from Chet's Down Home LP. If I may suggest something it would be for you to use the tremolo arm a little, especially at the end chord. Otherwise it's perfect! My foot hasn't stopped tapping yet...
BOECKMANN LUDWIG, FREIHEIT FÜR DIE AUSGESPERRTEN, DJTerrorbase67, xTuneboy, xFrontliner, The Humbs, Hardstyle4life ... Jeder hat das Recht seine Meinung zu äußern, das können sie uns nicht verbieten, denn das ist Deutschland und keine Diktatur !!!
This is one of my favorite little tunes, never heard this style of it before but I admire it and you abilities very highly. Wonderful tones you're getting. Thanks for sharing this beautiful piece.
This is beautiful, but I prefer this music or this style of alone guitar, without accompaniments or chords, batteries programmed etc.
The guitar is wonderful alone and him(her) it is not necessary to have afraid to the silence, because of it I say: NOT TO THE TRACKS " cordial Regards.
Beautiful playing! Salty Dog Rag was one of my favorite things by Chet. Nearly went out of my mind trying to figure out the "finger roll" licks on the first solo. It is VERY difficult to get this exactly right! I guess only Chet could really do this stuff, with perfect phrasing and all. I loved the little additions you put in the song. Great!

We need some dancers to do the Salty Dog Rag. Chet and Red both did this number as well. All three are good.

That is nice! That's a Country Gentleman right? Do you have echo or something? How do you do the bass? Thanks, Gerry

The guitar is a Gretsch 6122-1959 Country Gentleman. I use a small amount of delay and reverb. The backing comes from "Band in a box"
