can somebody help me to decide? i want to buy a good syntesizer for hardstyle music. jp8080 or waldorf blofeld? can anybody help me? in case of choose the 8080 its easy to edit in a sequencer like fruity loops? thanks very much
@fuckableteam If you want to play hardstyle I would go for the blofeld (but it's more expensive though). The Roland is, in my opinion, best for this type of music.
I had a JP8080 and I sold it, I was about to buy another one. The JP 8080 is good to have 2 of them, one for base line and another one for lead. What I didn't like was the color, it seem at the end of everything the JP is programed to have that particular Goa Trance pitch, you know a med high end pushed a bit higher. Like at 17K you will always have an extra +5db. But that is my particular taste. For the rest I believe is way underated.
The thing is that you will get the same effect for both sounds in multitmbral mode, if you want a base line and a lead, the best choise is to have two JP 8080. Is better to modulate both and for a lot of other things. My perfect set up would be two JP 8080, one Korg TR, one Alesis SR rack and one Roland JV 90 controller.
If you like this track, you can actually buy the song played by my band "The Roboteers" on Itunes. On our debut album, the song is called "Subway"

If you want to stay in the price range I think that either JP-8000 or the JP-8080 is a safe bet or Novation Super Nova.
Otherwise the Acces Virus TI or Roland V-synthGT is the synthesizers to have!

@fuckableteam nothing!!! no jp8080 no Waldorf!!! You need FL Studio for what you want!!!

@fuckableteam i mean, you´ll have no much fun with them if you like to produce Hardstyle!! Try Reason 4.0 or a new of the shitty FL

It is 2 part multi-timbral. You don't need to have two machines unless the polyphony is not enough

Amazing strings for a digital machine. Nice demo, too!
DavePerry2012 2 years ago
I got one question for you: Does this machine have an onboard step-sequencer? I know it has an arpeggiator, but not sure about the seq.
btw: Nice sounds coming out of this thing. The drums are external, aren't they?

Yes it does my friend.
carfoz 2 years ago
erm, no it doesn't. There is no sequencer at all.
