  • (An Untested Hypothesis Suggesting That the Chemical [In Our Brains] by Which We Are Able to Experience the Sensation of Being in Love Is the Same Chemical That Caused the "Big Bang" That Was the Birth of the Accelerating Universe)

  • why are ppl chirping him?

If I was at a concert, I WOULD BE SINGING MY HEART OUT! :D I know I cant sing! But I do anyways because it makes me enjoy the song more! :)

He just randomly had to be filming it for good memories. I film concerts all the time. And, heck, why not put the video on youtube so it will never be erased? And that way, my FRIENDS can see it, and laugh at my annoying voice, not for RANDOM PEOPLE to tell me I suck at singing.

Go download the song if you want to listen to it!

  • Thanks for sharing this! I would go see the Flaming Lips everyday if I could.

  • What's with all the self-hating homophobic nonsense? It's interesting when someone who's hating on another accuses them of being a hater. It's called a projection. Something about yourself you don't like or aren't comfortable with, when seen in another, can be enraging. Nasty stuff.

  • Haha ok Flaming Lips fans, this song is pretty easy to know what it is about. Tripping on Shrooms. Duh. What is the Light? Listen to the lyrics and think about Magic Mushrooms. You will be like "Oh! Amazing!" or "Or why didn't i think of that?" Or perhaps you already know this. But still great song.

  • @RushLovesME Isn't it about the theory on the chemical that caused the big bang could be the same chemical that creates love?

  • @QwertyGuy499 you could be right too, but it could be totally vice versa for the point of shrooms (if being in the right state of mind) can bring love and happiness to those around. It could honestly be either one. haha

  • The second half of this video is also another song from the album, called "The Observer." Make sure you know which is which!

  • The other voice is Steven Drozd.

  • This song is about the third eye, im pretty sure about that!

  • I was always under the impression it was about love and attraction, with a scientific, universe is inside you twist.

  • Ever consider the possibility that the other voice is from a band member?

  • Can somebody PLEASE tell me where to find the studio version of this song? Ivé been looking EVERYWHERE for it! It's starting to make me mad.

  • It's on the Soft Bulletin CD.

  • it's on the soft bulletin. their best album! you'll love it.

  • It's on The Soft Bulletin album from 1999.

Purchase it and you;ll get the whole shebang!

  • O.K. I found the song (finally) and now it's on my iPod. I wish I could make a video with the lyrics of the song, but, I tried and it got removed due to a third party copyright shit.

  • This song is a classic psych/space rock song. I know everyone wet themselves over Do You Realise, Waitin for a Superman, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah song, and other songs Lips songs since '99. This is the best song Lips song of the last ten years.

  • It may be the best Lips song ever - certainly the best on "Soft Bulletin."

  • I cannot find the clean version of this song for some reason.

  • Sleeping in the roof!
