This clip made me thinking of how complicated electronics can be. I would like to ask you, as you are an engineer, do you know if broadband/telephone networks in cities are as hard to fix (complicated) as the wirings and circuitry in a typical electric organ?
I have designed a small portable synthesizer - which I call "the FairySynth" - but I haven't build it yet. It only exists on a breadboard and as a hand drawn schematic diagram.
I have thought about making a video when I actually build it as an inspiration to other builders.
Actually the original switchboard - with the flashing buttons - are only controlling the sound. You could call it the sequencer part of the drum machine. The drum synthesizer is the part with the four round knobs and it is placed where the handset of the original phone system was.
Why doesn't this have more views? This is great.

@MinEgenKanal - I think I would prefer to repair an organ.

That is fantastic :D
I really must make a start on analogue electronics some day and make something like this

It'd certainly be nice to see, and if it does inspire some people to make some real synths up that'd be great.
I'd want to midi something like that up of course, a couple of such things operating at once could be quite pleasant.

I didn't know telephone switchboards could produce synthetized sounds!!!
