hey man, i believe that it is amazing that you were able to go to mikes camp, trust me i would LOVE to go, but if we are on the topic of constructive criticism, your songo is great, but try to strengthen your left hand, also experiment with accent placement on the snare, it changes the whole sound of the rhythm, great job!

@astrella yeah, we were all at about the same level. It was nice though, because I felt like we learned not only from Mike, but from each other as well.

@EminemOctober17 The short answer would be....yes, for me anyways! Haha, I'm mostly a rock and punk drummer, so playing in a latin style was pretty difficult.

@EminemOctober17 Mike taught us the Songo on day 3 or 4 of the drum camp. I practiced the beat pretty religiously every day....probably 1-2 hours per day. Then we recorded on the 6th day.....so I got about 4-6 hours of practice on it....yikes!

@EminemOctober17 Thanks! I'm not sure what the age requirement is. The youngest person that was at our camp was 17, and I was 2nd youngest at 24. I would ask Mike Johnston that question directly, but I'm sure it would be fun at any age.
