I was at this game, and it was clear that Harris was exhausted & simply letting out a sigh that the game was finally over. It was a stressful game, the Nets had it won just a few seconds earlier with a 1-pt lead & the ball, but the Hawks stole the ball from Dev.
He wasn't upset people. He was breathing a sigh of relief. He came over to congratulate Vince & they were smiling and laughing about it.
To add, Dev was upset with himself for giving up the steal when the Nets had the game won, and was stressing when the ball went into the backcourt on the final play, probably thinking "damn, well we lost and now it's my fault."
His final reaction was that of relief instead of joy. Like I said, he came over to Carter and was all smiles after the shot. Stop trying to make an issue between Vince and Harris. Life can't be that boring.

You are correct, the play didn't start on time, BUT, get a stopwatch and time the play. The time from the tip to when the shot leaves Carter's hand is still well under 5 seconds.
Before you blast that thought as incredulous, just time it. It's about 4.5 seconds from the time the ball is inbounded till when Carter releases the shot.
So, you're right about the clock manager, but in this case, it doesn't matter.
lol now u're getting into supposes & what-ifs. there's no way to say with any certainty how the defense will be change. we don't even know if Smith is watching the clock or paying more attention to where he is on the court (to defend the 3pt line). you could also 'suppose' that Smith might foul Carter if he was closer, that Carter might hoist it from deeper, etc etc.
The only thing the league can do is time the play, that is the only definitive to challenge. He still got it off in time.
why would smith be looking at the clock? think about it 3 second your not looking at the clock an your not expecting a 3 from there... just give it up your team lost no need to whine like a baby

its not backcourt if the ball was DEFLECTED by the opposing team, so that means its a loose ball.

Hawks got fucking cheated! Marvin clearly tipped it... BUT the game clock didn't start until it got to VC!!! The game clock is supposed to start when the first player touches the ball, but you guys got a fucking retard for a game clock manager... Actually that dispute was settled because it was shown that Al Horford got his fingertips on the inbound pass, so the clock manager was correct to start the clock a little early... don't you feel stupid..

You are correct, the play didn't start on time, BUT, get a stopwatch and time the play. The time from the tip to when the shot leaves Carter's hand is still well under 5 seconds.
Before you blast that thought as incredulous, just time it. It's about 4.5 seconds from the time the ball is inbounded till when Carter releases the shot.
So, you're right about the clock manager, but in this case, it doesn't matter.

less time = tighter defense and more pressure on the player to make a play

lol now u're getting into supposes & what-ifs. there's no way to say with any certainty how the defense will be change. we don't even know if Smith is watching the clock or paying more attention to where he is on the court (to defend the 3pt line). you could also 'suppose' that Smith might foul Carter if he was closer, that Carter might hoist it from deeper, etc etc.
The only thing the league can do is time the play, that is the only definitive to challenge. He still got it off in time.
