1st of all, the elections are rigged. We don't have free elections anymore. Bush lost in 2000 and 2004 but it was very, very close. Bush only needed 1 major state in both elections. So in the counties it was close, they just rigged that one county (which allowed him to win the whole state) so he would collect the entire electoral prize.

1st of all, the elections are rigged. We don't have free elections anymore. Bush lost in 2000 and 2004 but it was very, very close. Bush only needed 1 major state in both elections. So in the counties it was close, they just rigged that one county (which allowed him to win the whole state) so he would collect the entire electoral prize.
This year they ran a deadbeat against Obama (a staged spectacle to create the illusion of an election), so they didn't have to rig anything

According to the WHO there where over 20,000 tortured to death by Saddam in Abu Ghraib alone and that was just one of dozens of prisons! Another 25,000 died in the gassing of the Kurds. Millions died in his wars with Iran. 82% of civilians killed in Iraq during the war were killed by either fellow Iraqies or insurgants loyal to Iran not by US forces. So though you never answered my question it's clear you feel that we should have just let it go on forever huh?

I'm sorry I thought it was clear that winning meant an end to Saddams Torture chambers and rape camps and an end to violence in Iraq. Violence is now down to levels never before seen in Iraq (Saddam murdered millions of his own people.) Saddam gassed the Kurds? Thats REALLY amazing considering the fact that during the Iran-Iraq war Iran was in control of Halabja. And only Iran possessed cyanide gas (which was the same gas used to kill the Kurds), while Iraq had mustard gas (the same gas the did NOT kill the Kurds).

I have read NSPD51. It makes it so that I have no expectation to privacy if I make an overseas phone call. So what? Not only do I not care as I have no plans to talk about anything subversive I also know I never had privacy in in the first place as these phone calls are routinly listened to by other countries for years.

He was shooting at our planes? Yes.He didn't recognize the "No-Fly" zones.Neither did the UN.

Nice FOX NEWS way of phrasing the question..."Diplomacy"? We didn't even give the UN inspectors a chance to work.Bush demanded he let inspectors in,and when he said OK,THEN they said he couldn't be trusted!
We shouldn't have gone in at ALL.He wasn't continually gassing people.A better solution? Int'l.pressure for him to be tried for crimes against humanity.Make REAL plans for Iraq post-Saddam,not just "Protect the Oil Ministry"-and invlove Iraqis from the start.A lot smoother,a lot less death.

Nice X Files way of stating the facts. Saddam denied access to the inspectors in key areas. In fact Saddam himself said after he was captured the reason he did this was he wanted Iran to think he had did have WMDs and thought the US would never attack. Though he was not "continually gassing" he was continually torturing and murdering and raping.
As for him to be tried for crimes against humanity. Did expected him to just turn himself in? LOL He had to be captured first of course!
