No worries.. different classes have different goal times for completing each stage. It's a handicap system that benefits slower vehicles. In fact no modern car has ever won this event. Currently the GT-R is by far the fastest vehicle through the rally stages.

The Targa Newfoundland is not an all out speed rally. Each car is judged and then put in a class with a certain time to obtain in each stage. The people who have been running the same cars in this race year after year have a large advantage.

This car's real test will happen in the Targa Tasmania, assuming it runs there.

Last few years:

Subaru Canada WRC STi, Clutch and Transmission GONE. Race Prepped 72 Mustang, Transmission pan destroyed, Porsche 944 ends up in the Atlantic, CRX, Mustang and XR4Ti ends shiny side down in the ditch. Porsche 911 Targa meets hydro pole, BMW M3 hits curb and blows rear wheel, control arm and break disk. Firebird hits same fence and house two years running.

The GT-R is a GREAT TRACK CAR. This is dirty evil racing and it will be destroyed. And I'm Going to be in Gander to watch!
