@Boter46 hahaha man you look like one of those guys that live in a RV in woods and post conspiracy theories! or at least a guy that plays a person like that in a movie! :D
@TonyFirelli I've played a few different things... not crazy redneck conspiracy theorist though. I'd love to do it sometime! *goes and writes something quick for it* :P
@JediMasterHorton Yes, you can still fire the gun semi-automatically ("cock and fire") without the ginormous weight of the six D batteries (holy crap Firefox doesn't think "ginormous" is misspelled, that's awesome). Automatic mode, with the switch, does nothing without batteries.
should i keep me nerf vulcan or return it plz respond what do u thing good or bad if u think i should keep thumbs up but if u think i should return it thumbs down
@rakion76 Keep it. It's extremely useful if you're playing Capture the Flag and you need to defend your flag, but you'll most likely also want someone refilling your ammo and another one covering your ammo reserves, so it does take away manpower that could be used in an assault. Of course, if you're not really into all that and just want a fun blaster that looks cool and is accurate and fun to use, it's good for that as well. =P
the nerf gun looks epic and the bulits i belive are nic-named screamers, they are epic cause when their heard coming it scares the crap outa who you are fireing at
@playstationwiisixty Off the top of my head, I don't know; I didn't play with it a whole lot, certainly not to any Nerf battles. It lasted me until we sorta tore it apart to use as a prop in a movie almost a year later, so it'll stand up fine to sporadic use. I hadn't stress-tested the batteries.
@MRBD181 Hey, sometimes in my family it's hard to tell the kids from the adults, and vice versa. And also my dad has found at least a few "kids' toys" that he wanted really badly himself. Give the guy a break.
Hey just a quick question, what is the range of the darts in auto and what is the range of the semi auto? I've heard that the auto isn't very powerful and I'm wondering if the semi shoots further.
ya know, this gun is actually not a machine gun its a turret, because...when you hold it, u hold it to your side holdimng the handle, thats how u hold a turret
Yep, 25 darts - a full belt's worth - are included. There are two N-Strike standard accessory rails, one on each side, I forgot to mention those - but then, I don't have any N-Strike accessories, so I didn't think about it :(
I am kind of hesitant to buy this nerf gun, I have seen a lot of reviews about it constantly jamming and the gears inside breaking relatively quickly. Although I have also heard that it might be due to people putting the chains in upside down. Is there any merit to these rumors or is it just user error that could be causing that? Also, is the handle actually glued together like the recon or is it just slightly screwed together like the sniper rifle?
There's definitely a right-side-up for the belt, pretty easy to see too, though I can see how someone not paying attention would try to load it upside-down.
I don't have the recon or the sniper rifle, but if you're talking about the top handle, then it seems screwed together, which gives it some good flexibility back and forth. 1:27
I haven't seen anything about gears breaking. I DID see where someone modded it to shoot faster, and it did hold up for a surprising length of time.
(Deleting your other questions and answering them all at once to avoid comment clutter.) Dude, *watch the video*. You can hear the whistling darts as I fire it, you can get a good sense of its weight as I'm holding it (I don't know the exact weight, but it's sorta heavy, the batteries themselves are a few pounds).
Each belt can hold 25 whistling darts. The gun itself comes with just one belt, but additional belts with 25 more darts are available, as well as refills that are just the whistling darts, I think 10 per package (good for if you lose a few, like I ended up doing).
I can't seem to find anything online suggesting that it's sold in the UK :( Double check a Toys 'R' Us near you, but your best bet would probably be importing it, via the US Toys 'R' Us website, Amazon, eBay, or the like.
No, it's not; there's a custom mount at the bottom of the gun for it. The Vulcan *does* have accessory rails just like the other N-Strike guns, but the tripod mount is a unique reinforced mount.
I like it Boter. I'd have trimmed off a few seconds here/there and perhaps got a fancy close up of the bad Reversal Button, darts and belt and the famous shopping network slow dramatic spin. AND I'd have staged a test film of ambush with said toy machine a la backyard f/x. You did very well in presenting the toy with it's pro and cons. Congrats you made me want to go out get one almost... but of course common sense did win out.
yeah breaking sound drives me NUTS! But clicking sound is MUCH better.

I'm guessing that it hopefully INCLUDES the darts.
evrything else sounds good to me. my parents have HUNDREDS of D batteries so that wont be a problem for me.
Also i have heard that there is two slide rail acessory slots on both sides.

Ha, "Don't do it! They're armed!"
I didn't really think about doing it like this, the videos I was mimicking were rather linear.
