hey got a better solution dont fill the bag with sand.. it will lessen the life of that military duffel bag because the sand settles during its use and all that dead weight will take its toll on the bag..fill it with granulated corn cob.. it can be as heavy like sand,wont compact, and its supple mimicking the human body.. and i guarantee u the bag WILL last at least 3to 5 yrs longer..and u will be able to kick the bottom with any part of ur foot, you won't do that with sand have fun..

Just a tip, one of the Thai bags in my school use 2x3in strips of material as part of it's filling. Maybe you should try cut your old cloths, blankets and towels into smaller pieces you'll eliminate most air pockets and at the same time have more room for extra material stuffing to make it heavier

You "BackYard MMA" guys really piss me off. You guys really encourage people to go out and fight each other in their backyard because they think it's cool and will get them some views on YouTube. It's pathetic and you give guys who bust their ass in a real gym bad rep. You should really consider stopping this nonsense. I highly doubt you idiots are sanctioned and I know for a fact that you guys are mediocre clowns. Stick to watching UFC and sipping beer, your little fights aren't cute.

@rpgamer94 I don't see anything wrong with backyard training, man. Some people either don't live near a gym or can't afford a membership. Why not train the best you can with some friends? Ever see Fedor train? Most of his training could be done in a backyard, too. Chill.

I was just a little ticked from watching idiots scuffle and tussle in their backyard and post a video up on Youtube posing to be mma fighters. It gives the sport a bad name and is dangerous. I want to apologize to the uploader. That was a very rude comment and I was out of place. I myself train in my backyard currently because my gym closed. My apologies.

well you could Get rid of the dog Or your mom whichever you prefer but if you're going to hit the heavy bag you got to hit it with everything you've got it's the only way to get a good workout

I could do that but the kind of defeats the purpose If you don't have the money this is a good alternative I'm assuming you never fought MMA before It takes money to buy the equipment you need because a lot of times it's not provided plus travel costs and medica Just in case you get hurt when you fight as an amateur none of these things are provided it comes out of your own pocket

do not do this with blankets unless you pack it very very tight or you could roll your wrist and break it causing you long time problems with your wrist i suggest just going out and buying one;)

It's a military bag You can usually find them in surplus stores Or if you know anybody in the military they might still have one
