This song is so fucking beautiful. I remember it from my childhood and the first thirty seconds just sum up the tragedy of war. On exception of that asshole hitting the woman and the guy who shot the parachute man, for some reason this gives me sympathy for the germans. in reality these were just poor rural farm boys from a beautiful culture who never knew better and ended up getting killed at 19, just like our soldiers. Fuck Hitler, Fuck War.
The best ww2 shooter of the lot, without a doubt. It has the gameplay, style, humour, graphics, variety, soundtrack that many game developers could only wish for at the time.
ill game from back in the day. this was my favorite level. it was really an emotional game/level with the whole music, color, and setting. it made me feel like i was there and was feeling what jimmy was feeling. kinda feel corny saying this but that's just the way i felt about this game about 6 or 7 years ago wen i was just a little 5th grader who was so paranoid and needed to take a piss constantly wen playing this game because he had no idea wen the germans were gonna come out
i live in this village!! it says on a bord RENKUM beperkte bewegingsvrijheid voor joden. pretty cool. although it looks a bit primitive back then but now we are very modern people ^^
Cool game.I thought I was being all clever spotting a nazi hiding in a shed and threw a grenade, too bad it turned out to be another american whos thankfully not essential for the level like barnes is
This is my one of favourite maps in MOHF! And, this game is I think so much better than Rising Sun or European Assault. . . . . . I'm looking for games like Frontline.
back when i played ps2, i loved this. The first time I played this I emptied a clip from my tommy on the guy that popped out and asked 2 tag along, he scared the shit outta me!!
great vid man im just playing this game for the 1st time today i know its a shame hahah i gotta admit its a lot better thn european assault and im going to bed now haa im always looking on youtube what the next missions are like and stuff so i kinda know what to do but anyway thanks for the vid and g-night lol
Thanks! Frontline is definitely a lot better. Oh, and I have posted all of the missions in the game on this site, so you can just look in the playlist on my channel for a complete list of all of the missions, if you are interested.
Great uploads, I just got my Playstation 2 Slim and I will start playing this game again, last time I played it was around 2006, it's going to be fun :D
Thanks! It's always nice to play a game again after several years. There is a reason this is the PS2 game that I have played the most... It's great fun. Good times.
When I was.....9? Well anyways, i use to play this alot. The loved this game. The other game I played was Halo.... after that it was some online game....Then a week ago I find this game in a half-price books store...I have halo one and Metal or Honor...my most loved games of my younger youth...And thanks dude for putting this here, because I have no Xbox(stupid I have halo and MOH without a xbox)
dude when i was like in first grade me and my dad played the first medal of honor and this one all the time... these are the best ww2 games ever!!! thanks for uploading!
you guys should try BF bad company that is the best shooting game ive every played. its sick especially online, its hard at first but once u get used to it online is sick
Battlefield: Bad Company is indeed awesome. While my personal favorite shooter of all time is the original Medal of Honor on the PS1, Bad Company has a unique flavor all its own.
I like it better because of the atmosphere, the music, and the variety in the missions. MOH gave you a sense of vulnerability since you were alone, but it was still extremely fun blowing up Germans as they try to destroy you. The animations were also fantastic. Even though the two games were released many years apart, I like MOH better because it was well-designed shooter without filler, even if the graphics are pixelly. They still look good for a PS1 game, though. :D
ya i like the realism of BF bad co, the sounds of the guns echoing, and the smoothness, the shooting aspect is very real. I kind prefered the old call of duties to MOH but thats me
for sure, allthough I think tech does play a big role. And the realism of BF Bad Company is what I love about it so much. I say it's unfair to comepare a modern game to a old one ,because of the technology gap. But if love BF, my fav shooter. The sound of the guns, the use of tanks, helicopters, boats, humvees. The graphics are great too.
Don't get me wrong, I like Bad Company's gameplay a lot. I was actually agreeing with you. Bad Company has good gameplay, nice graphics, and a hilarious story, and it is certainly a great overall package. It's one of those game to just relax with, as is isn't unforgiving at all and it is a good time to be had. But on a scale of sheer impact, Bad Company isn't terribly innovative, but it doesn't need to be. I just like the old MOH games because of their excellent atmosphere.
To be honest, I don't play many modern-day shooters, (especially shooters that take place during modern times) but stuff like Bioshock and Killzone 2 are excellent.
Do you see the ladder I climbed at 7:54? Once you get to the top, run around the windmill and you will find some rifle rounds and a Field Surgeon Pack. A wave of enemies will come from the field you crossed, and you will now be at a perfect position to snipe them. If you don't climb the windmill and activate this wave, it is impossible to get a Gold medal. I hope that helps. :D
when i played this level i accedently killed our second ally guy by throwing a grenade in that wooden shed. you should try it. it was funny. great sniping on those gay Nazis. :D
Ah, yes. You have to clear the area of Germans and then disable the alarm. Then, sabotage the vehicles by openning their trunks and pressing the action button. After that is done, go back to the truck and jump in. Fox will smash through the barricade.
It's a pitty that the garand only stood in the first three levels of this game, would be kinda nice to carry one at this lvl, don't U think ( that is the reson why I used to envy sgt. Barnes at 0:04)
It is truly a shame that the M1 Garand only gets to be in three levels. In the original MOH, the rifle was used in approximately half of the game. I think it's an exellent weapon. But to be fair, the M1 Garand wouldn't be suited well for this level. It's just not as accurate as the Springfield '03. Besides, Corporal Barnes is an excellent shot compared to the rest of the Allied AI, so the rifle is in good hands. :D
Undoubtedly. The Springfield '03 is probably my favorite sniper rifle in a game. I don't even mind the bolt-action since it is so accurate and powerful. I think it's the best weapon in the game.
I already have MODF and am nearing compleation. My B-day is coming up, so would you recomend buying MODA. Course, everyone has different opinions. Woukld you say I should get it?
MODF? You mean MOHF and MOH: Airborne? If so, I wouldn't recommend Airborne. It just lacks the magic of previous Medal of Honor games. Although limited parachuting and upgradable weapons are great and all, Airborne has a lot of annoying flaws that don't exist in the older MOHs. But soundtrack is excellent, though most of it is recycled from MOH, MOHU, and MOHF. Not a bad game, but not too great either. I would recommend either Call of Duty 3 or Battlefield Bad Company if it must be rated "T".
As contradictory as this sounds(this IS a MOH video, after all), I would have to say that COD has become the better series out of the two. Over the years, the MOH series went form outstanding to average as one by one the original MOH staff left EA for other companies. However, I would pick the original Medal of Honor over its competitor any day of the week, simply because it is a reminder that MOH used to be a fantastic series.
The only way to get a gold medal is to kill at least 95% of all enemies and clear the level with at least 75% health, but you probably knew that. The secret for this level is climbing the windmill at 7:55 and sniping the enemies that spawn in the field below.
This song is so fucking beautiful. I remember it from my childhood and the first thirty seconds just sum up the tragedy of war.
