There is another pretika product that it VERY similar to the clarisonic. It is much more gentle (I've done the water test, and it is just like the clarisonic. And it has a charger :)

the difference between the 2 cleansers is the Clarisonic oscillates! Meaning it goes back and forth, & it does that 600 times PER SECOND! Like u said, so quick you cant even see it. Thats why it cleans so well- it cleanses in so deep that alldirt/make up/oil goes away, while the cheaper one you showed just turns in a circle, not doing too much, plus its more messy. Sorry, i just love my mia so much! (:

@aulae being a teenager my skin is a bit acne prone. The first couple of days that I used it, I broke out, but I think that is just because the clarisonic was "pushing the impurities out". Now my skin is clearing up and I have not gotten any new blemishes. This was a big purchase for me but honestly, so far I can say that the clarisonic has helped my skin! Best $150 i have spent!

Im going to try the clarisonic mia out!! the new hope is beautiful one. I use to have the Pretika sonic dermabrasion one...not that pretika one. The pretika one I had had a charger like the clarisonic and had two different setting and beeped like the clarisonic,and used sonic vibration rather than spinning but the brush head was too harsh for my sensitive skin, and Im gonna invest in the mia! thanks for the review

Thanks for such a detailed review complete with demonstration of the comparative brushes- the Pretika looks like a BEAST and I would not want that thing on my skin! I've had my Mia for a few weeks and it's so easy to give in to the temptation to actively scrub with the brush because we're so used to having to grind away to get all the gunk off. I used to need 3xweekly exfoliation, haven't since I got it.

I've watched a few reviews on the Clarisonic brushes and I think yours is one of the best.

The Pretika you're demonstrating is not the sonic version, it looks like the older microdermabrasion brush that isn't sonic. The current Pretika Sonic Dermabrasion system has a sonic brush that does not spin, 2 speeds, and a timer. It also costs around $50, not $25. The sonic Pretika brush would be more comparable to the Mia if anything...just an FYI about comparing apples with apples. Thanks for the great review...I want a Mia so badly!

I love this product... but I knew that I would because I also tried the Sonicare toothbrush when it came out about ten years ago. They both use sonic (sound wave) technology to cleanse! Awesome!!!

I heard from a dermatologist that the clarasonic cleanses the skin deeply but it does not exfoliate the skin. That sounds kinda confusing to me, I assumed that the brush would exfoliate. Do you know anything about that?

Thanks for the review. I received one (the clarisonic pro) as a gift at Christmas. It is great. It has helped to reduce the appearance of my pores.

I use it twice a day, on the lowest setting for one minute. It really does clean your skin. I use the Kirkland (Costco brand) makeup removal towellets prior to using the clarisonic and I am amazed at how much makeup it removes.

I have the regular Clarisonic, and it's probably one of the best investments that I've ever made. I'm a teen, so I'm prone to acne and I had acne, but this has helped me so much! It's cleared blackheads, made my pores smaller, and prevented breakouts.

If you're having skin issues and are willing to invest money in it, I say buy a Clarisonic for sure!
