@XFactorBest Drove my Hyundai 14 years never had a problem. my Honda on the other hand, 5 years and cheap quality ECU motherboard, chips start lifting off them around 70k miles, you lose power on the freeway, and I barely missed getting rear ended by a Semi trying to pull off to the side of the road. Id consider Hondas quality less then Hyundai's now days.

@vitto Hyundais were known for copying other cars. Back in the day the rear ends were part Volvo and Jaguar. Even VW admitted they copied a Corolla and came up with the newer Jetta in the last generation, the new design, I hate it compared to the previous.

First off, the 3-series is a fairly different car than the genesis coupe. It's kind of silly to compare them (plus I don't know that I would say "eat alive" if you're looking at the 335i). More importantly, you don't seem to understand the BRZ. It's not about hp, it's handling and driving dynamics (like a miata) where it is meant to excel. That said, I don't disagree that Hyundai has come out with some attractive product as of recently.

@Jamzkangster Some have had problems with getting Hyundai to honor there warranty the last few years. Hopefully they do more then just talk. My Dad's Suzuki needed a new alternator a few months after he bought it, they replaced it and never batted an eye, they cover the warranty quite well, to bad they don't advertise the Kizashi as much as they should.
@ThisEmptyRoom Get the Fiesta St thats if your looking for something sporty. Just cause it has that long warranty on the Hyundai doesn't mean they cover everything have to read the find print. I do like this car but waiting to see a review on the Turbo version of this car first.
@ThisEmptyRoom The Hyundais lower models use torsion beams in rear, kinda old school, so Fiesta for new tech. Otherwise, stylewise, the Fiesta kinda like a small Civic with better design, this one looks cool but I dont know if its as fast as it looks.
When I first saw one of these cars, I thought it was awesome. I didn't realize it was an economy car until I researched more. Honestly, though, that made me like it even more. For a daily commuter to and from work that gets good gas mileage, the Veloster is perfect. I would personally buy the economy version, but I am glad they are going to offer a performance version. That way, everyone can get what they want.
@DieselDan09 I agree It does look sportier than it actually is, but 0-60 isn't at the top of everybody's list. I'm sure the emergency handling and brakes are fantastic and that it doesn't burn much fuel. This would make a very nimble, fun, and economical car to commute to work with every day, and I wouldn't mind having one for that purpose. Besides, the turbo version or some aftermarket upgrades to this one would make it go like hell.
I test-drove the car and as ex owner of 2 tiburons I was quite surprised how modern and exciting this car was to look and drive. Can`t wait for the turbo - maybe I will go for the oval H emblem again :)
Hyundai is doing what Toyota did back in the 80s. Selling their cars low priced in order to get their name out into the market while at the same time raising the bar in quality and value for money.

so far i must say best female car reviewer ive seen for along time. Emme knows how to keep things exciting and keep you interested and still keep the facts in there very well done as doing both of those is extremely difficult. Keep up the good work and speaking from the uk the veloster is sold here now to thankfully with the back door on the otherside so passengers can get out on the pavement(sidewalk) unlike the mini clubman so thumbs up to hyundai there and a thumbs down to mini.

Yes, great styling. Yes, great engine. I like the blacked out B pillars too. But I like shifting my automatic, so that's a bummer about the automatic. The thing about a new car, though, is if it doesn't fit, I won't buy it. That's why I'm still driving my Kia Cinco after 10 years. It just fits me so well. First and foremost, the car has to fit.
They got the same designer that created the old 3-door Ford vans from the 1990s and gave him some drugs to create the design for the Veloster. It looks to me like a bright-eyed robotic insect.
I love the new graphics for the video! Great review on the car. Keep up the great work! I think it's funny that this car get's better mileage than the CR-Z, and the CR-Z is a hybrid! I'd go for this car for sure between those two. I keep seeing these at the dealership on my drive to school and I want one!
The turbo is not a "rumor", it's been confirmed for at least 6 months now and will be released in June of 2012. there are already spy photos flying around on the net. Its going to be unveiled most likely at the Detroit auto show.

@Jamzkangster Some have had problems with getting Hyundai to honor there warranty the last few years. Hopefully they do more then just talk. My Dad's Suzuki needed a new alternator a few months after he bought it, they replaced it and never batted an eye, they cover the warranty quite well, to bad they don't advertise the Kizashi as much as they should.

@ThisEmptyRoom Get the Fiesta St thats if your looking for something sporty. Just cause it has that long warranty on the Hyundai doesn't mean they cover everything have to read the find print. I do like this car but waiting to see a review on the Turbo version of this car first.

Fiesta.. its relaible. German engineered and more refined.. plus has MySync. in Manual should be fun. I test drove it and its a lot of fun and quiet.

@ThisEmptyRoom The Hyundais lower models use torsion beams in rear, kinda old school, so Fiesta for new tech. Otherwise, stylewise, the Fiesta kinda like a small Civic with better design, this one looks cool but I dont know if its as fast as it looks.

When I first saw one of these cars, I thought it was awesome. I didn't realize it was an economy car until I researched more. Honestly, though, that made me like it even more. For a daily commuter to and from work that gets good gas mileage, the Veloster is perfect. I would personally buy the economy version, but I am glad they are going to offer a performance version. That way, everyone can get what they want.

@DieselDan09 I agree It does look sportier than it actually is, but 0-60 isn't at the top of everybody's list. I'm sure the emergency handling and brakes are fantastic and that it doesn't burn much fuel. This would make a very nimble, fun, and economical car to commute to work with every day, and I wouldn't mind having one for that purpose. Besides, the turbo version or some aftermarket upgrades to this one would make it go like hell.

I test-drove the car and as ex owner of 2 tiburons I was quite surprised how modern and exciting this car was to look and drive. Can`t wait for the turbo - maybe I will go for the oval H emblem again :)

so far i must say best female car reviewer ive seen for along time. Emme knows how to keep things exciting and keep you interested and still keep the facts in there very well done as doing both of those is extremely difficult. Keep up the good work and speaking from the uk the veloster is sold here now to thankfully with the back door on the otherside so passengers can get out on the pavement(sidewalk) unlike the mini clubman so thumbs up to hyundai there and a thumbs down to mini.

Yes, great styling. Yes, great engine. I like the blacked out B pillars too. But I like shifting my automatic, so that's a bummer about the automatic. The thing about a new car, though, is if it doesn't fit, I won't buy it. That's why I'm still driving my Kia Cinco after 10 years. It just fits me so well. First and foremost, the car has to fit.

They got the same designer that created the old 3-door Ford vans from the 1990s and gave him some drugs to create the design for the Veloster. It looks to me like a bright-eyed robotic insect.

I love the new graphics for the video! Great review on the car. Keep up the great work! I think it's funny that this car get's better mileage than the CR-Z, and the CR-Z is a hybrid! I'd go for this car for sure between those two. I keep seeing these at the dealership on my drive to school and I want one!

The turbo is not a "rumor", it's been confirmed for at least 6 months now and will be released in June of 2012. there are already spy photos flying around on the net. Its going to be unveiled most likely at the Detroit auto show.
