dude sorry it took so long to reply, gritweed is marijuana sprayed with silica dust whilst it is growing, it makes the plant heavier, thus making the dealer more money. These particles get lodged in your lungs causing silicosis which will slowly kill you! Hard to spot with the naked eye, first sign is usually that your joint burns badly, the ash like charcoal. they grew hemp for the rope. very little people even knew you could smoke the bud then seeing as they waited til it flowered to use it. The cloth company was a huge supporter of the hemp ban for this reason
