I honestly had no idea Bernie Mac had died. He wasn't as famous over here in the UK but when I was off sick from school I would watch his show on TV and it made me laugh when I felt crappy :)
He seemed a good man through and through.and like some have said I don't think he ever saw people in terms of their color and besides that he was simply an amazing talent-loved him in Bad Santa "You got some lip on you midget!" rofl!!
I think Bernie Mac is funny as all hell, even his expression really added to comedy, sorely missed! Not like the comics of today, all they talk about is different races and make fun of them! It's not funny, it's sad, because they really don't have a clue what true comedy is! Cosby certainly did, and Robin Williams omg
I loved his proformance as the voice of Zuba the Alpha Lion in the fun, funny and heartwarming animated movie sequel Madagascar and the Escape 2 Africa.
i remember being a kid looking at Bernie like he was too old to be doing comedy in the 90s like he broke out too late in his career but he won me over R.I.P Mac Man
bernie was great!! what a great man--he was the old school--he was a man who believed he should work to support his family??? it that strange?come on people--get with the real truth of what he wanted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@pomegranateish Fuck You. I hate when somebody generalizes a whole race cause of one group of stupid people act unruly. Are all white people Klansmen?
Bernie Mac was a talented man and his death was tragic, but unlike everyone else featured in these segments, circumstances of his lifestyle didn't lead up to his death
Drugs overwhelmed John Belushi, Chris Farley, and Greg Giraldo
Drugs overwhelmed Phil Hartman's wife, making her kill him
Freddie Prinze and Richard Jenni were depressed beyond help
Alcohol killed Sam Kinison (through someone else) even though he tried to quit
I agree with @JoshSitar with Bernie Mac shouldn't be on this show. But that's because he didn't really have as much trouble in life and was a very balanced individual. Given that he didn't have this disease his life would have been far more remarkable.
Hate to be negative, but I just have to point out that Bernie Mac doesn't belong on this show with all these truly great comics. He was nowhere near as beloved as all the other comics featured.
It's like having a program about fine dining and featuring a segment on Burger King.
@JoshSitar Dude ....no.....just....no. He may not have been as controversial as Pryor or Carlin or as physically animated as Farley but if there is a wall a greats, no doubt, this man deserves a spot.
RIP BERNIE MAC!!!!!

Is that what black people do?
An unfunny comedian comes on and they start rioting and turning chairs and basically acting like animals in a zoo?
