The worst thing he ever did was learning to use falsetto in his voice. He needs to go back to getting drunk and stoned...so he can sing the shit correctly. Or he needs to quit doing SG songs all together, and just stick to his new shit that sounds like complete ass.

This is what it's like at a Chris Cornell consert these days. People don't know his old songs, they're there for songs like Be yourself and arms around your love. I was at one in 2007, and the crowd consisted of 50% cuddly couples who looked really surprised when he started singing old soundgarden stuff. Still, he's so great it's one the best consert I've ever been to.
No screams on high notes..no energy..and this gay pop way to sing at the beginning of the chorus.. this version sucks, please listen and anjoy an old version by soundgarden

This is an obvious filming of a time when Chris is not at his strongest. What I love about it is he's not one of those singers who won't go for it... he does it very conservatively, but I doubt anyone in the audience was disappointed.
A live performance should never sound more produced than the album version. Cornell's voice deserves better than to be drowned in reverb. He's still got the pipes, though.

i wasn't putting down Audioslave. c'mon man, it's freaking Audioslave! i saw them live at Lolla in 2003 and they blew Jane's Addiction out of the ampitheatre.
i was just saying Chris didn't always seem 100% in that band though. i saw the Live in Cuba DVD and i was like "Chris, what the hell?". i saw this and i was like "okay Chris that's MUCH better."

Time out. Chris Cornell was Soundgarden. Period. Look at the list of singers around him. Layne Staley DEAD. Kurt Cobain DEAD. Eddie Vedder NEVER WAS. Chris can do whatever the hell he wants and not go wrong. Thats just how great he is. He says hes working on a CD with Timberland. OK Chris, Do whatever you want, it will be better then anything anyone else has out. He is the last lyricist/songwriter with talent that the 90's barfed on us.

who ever set up the sound for this show should be kicked in the taint again and again, the guitarist's mike is louder when he sings than Chris, and he really fucks up a great vocal performance by Chris, that guy shouldn't even try to sing he's horrible.

the guitarist arent that bad, but compared to Morrello and Kim their shit. the bassist blows. and the drummer looks like hes handcuffed. Soundgarden and audioslave were a million times better
