Welp/////she IS in Prague, ya know...and the Czechs are not the most...deMONstrative people in the world, unfortunately....the Queen probably scared the buh-JESUS outta 'em!
She's not really a soul singer but she sure can cover rock songs very well, maybe even better than Franklin (or at least as well).
With some sort of focus and direction she might have done a masterful cover of "Jumpin' Jack Flash."
Her Private Dancer revival might have been longer lived had she stuck to covering a couple of rock tracks and some more solid originals after the success of that record.
pure awesome! haha I wonder if Beyonce got som inspiration from Tina^^ btw no wonder you get great legs if you move like that in high heels al the time :P
@mattbernabe while waiting for the last show in 2009 in the Netherlands to start I heard someone had gone somewhere else for the show as well (I don't remember which country) but they didn't allow (yes ALLOW) the audience to get up from their chairs. I can't believe Tina let that happen, but then I don't know that side of the story of course. Anyway it was the craziest thing I had ever heard!
They ARE freakin out! On the inside.. Jeste jedno Tina and Mick! Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic) was under Soviet rule then. Go see the communist museum in Prague and learn about how dangerous it was to express yourself back then. NO FREEDOM! Look up Jan Palach .. and learn about the Velvet Revolution..and you will start to catch a glimpse of why the audience is suppressed. Also, most of the audience is probably communist party members anyway who reserved the "good tickets" for themselves!
The government was still a feared authority and it tried to keep the people down in every way...
So it was not unusual that such events in East-Europe were that "quiet". It was almost unusual that an American artist performed there. So don't be upset by their behaviour :D
ttell yu wat, i loved the rolling stones original, loves franklins version even more, but turner manages to kick the living fuck out of the rest this girl knows rock n roll
This is nice..... But Aretha Rocks the hell out of it. There's more sound in Aretha"s than this one & the original combined. I love Tina & everything I'm not tryna' hate or nothing but............. This sucks.
Aretha's studio version is amazing, it is by far the best but i wouldn't say this sucks, you are exaggerating. Aretha is not dancing in that studio while recording JJF, so be careful before posting. Had Tina recorded this in the studio, it would have been a killer!
saintandrews84 - someone had a (-) thumb on your comment which I negated - I think this is entirely Awesome!! and as 'betterbegood' noted the 'sound' because is a live recording could be better - I bet it sounded amazing at this show!! and yeah, love that outfit & the wings! OMG!! she's a Goddess!

How can anyone just sit down while Tina is ripping the stage apart. Tina deserves a better audience.
