Many, many thanks for all your answers. This welsh language sounds warm and exceptional. Please don't be angry, if I asked a silly question: it's origin - is it gaelic? Or where does it come from?
And a last question about this song: about what do they sing?
Again many thanks for your answers and heartily greets from Nordrhein-Westfalen in Germany to Wales in Great Britain.
It's a celtic language, which was influenced by latin: dysgu for example discere - to learn.
However, I'm from germany too and I'm currently learning some welsh. If you are interested... just PM me or something. I can give you some recources about the language.
What a fine melody and the voice of the mainsinger is real good.
I've tried to find out some about this group, but without success. Who can tell me more about them? Where do they come from? What languagedo they speak?
And the most problem for me (I'm a german; "normal"english is no problem for me and also the scottish dialect, but the language or dialect of this band is really a mystery for me!)
How do I have to pronounce their name and this title?
y gorau. the best. grew up with edward.h.davis........ still got their LP's. play them once a week.

We are Welsh (Cymraeg actually).
The band is Byn Fon and Dewi pws (who originally had a hit with Lleucy llwyd in the 70's)
Lleucy Llwyd - 'rwyt ti'n hardd
Lleucu Llwyd - you are beautiful
