The younger generation is probably confused because Floyd didnt have a female singer. They werent around when groups were allowed to have other people sing and even had things like, more than 1 lead vocalist, (gasp) stand-out background vocals (oh my), and instrumentalists who could show off (*heart attack*). Nowadays, all attention must be paid to 1 lone lead singer, or future lawsuits are inevitable. Thats why we are forever stuck in a endless sea of crappy solo aritsts.
