This is the first AMV I ever saw, and it's still the best. I don't even remember how I downloaded it, or why, because I didn't see Evangelion until about ten years later, but man. It's just that epic.
Sir, this is probably the first AMV I ever saw and THE reason I started watching anime and reading mangas. A friend showed it to me in 1999 and I played the file again and again on the Ham radio club computer and sound system. Thank you for making it since it opened up a whole new field of artistic creation and eventually a whole new hobby and lots of hours staffing at conventions. Thank you for uploading this. Thank you youtube for allowing the file to be up here. It is an honor.
Man, last time I looked for this vid online it was nowhere to be found. I forget where I even found it originally. So glad it's had a revival. Still a killer vid!
I remember this video!! I still have it on a CD with other videos, more Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Rurouni Kenshin, Excel Saga... oh, man... good times, really good times :D
I remember seeing this back in '99. The first AMV I ever saw! It's still as epic as I remember. Thanks for this, it was a big inspiration to me at the time and could be the catalyst for why I work in the media now.
I remember seeing this video several years ago (2001). I'm so happy that I randomly found it again on youtube. It brought chills down my spine the first time I watched it. I'm happy to see that it still does. Great work.
You forever ruined this song for me when you made this video. Not because the video is bad, but because i heard it nonstop for a week while you made it.
I see that you re-uploaded your own copy of Final Countdown AMV.
And actually, I also found the AVI version of this vid in one of my brother's CDs (which is in fact the original copy - the same 50MB). My brother have probably re-encoded it into MPEG-1 with around 42MB filesize.
