Make sure you have the proper oil filter, and use 10w30, not 5w30, or switch to 10w40, or thicker, the hydralic lifters inthe engine loose theyre prime, and tap
Not sure if you still own this car, but it appears just to be an oil issue - perhaps you're using a "thicker" oil, ie. 20w-50, try using a 15w-40, it may help to get rid of that noise.
"Same thing, I have a 92 lebaron ... and the engine has that same obnoxious tick, click.... how ever you explain it. but after a while iot quits. hard to hear now that I put a cherry bomb on it : hahaha I call mine the War Wagon! But can it move down the road though. Has balls !"
sounds like the valves or some bearing. My baron ticked a little bit too, but only when it was cold, after 3minutes the sound disappeared so it could be the valves or something.
Never figured it out in the 4+ years owning this car, it's just now getting louder than before. My guess would be piston slap maybe but it sounds a little high pitch and mostly on the top of the engine I'm pretty sure. I may have bent a valve slightly or it's a bad lifter. The sound comes and goes when it's warmed up but isn't as quiet anymore.
@stevereject420 we got a 95 lebaron convertable and it had a small oil leak around the valve cover seals or something like that and after that she is good as new...lol NOW we replaceing the tranny whice of course chryslers trannys suck...other than that shes been a really good car and a good backup....nice torch red makes this car looks good...
it's your lifters making the noise

My 1991 lebaron v6 does the same thing, especially when cold. Its the lifters tapping.

My '93 has the clicking too, not as loud as yours though.
Just keep the oil at a good level, and synthetic may help if you don't use it already.
Best i can search up it is a valve problem that all 6g42 V6's get as a result of the way the valves sit.
Nothing to be too concerned about though, Ive got 130,000 miles and still running strong.
