basically.......he has damaged his vocal cords by singing the way he does....from the throat and with his head upwards...... also, the songs are out of his naturally vocal range because noel writes them and has a larger vocal range...so it means he has to strain and put more effort to reach the higher notes... also his voice has matured...which is natural at his age...and the ciggarettes and alcohol dont rele have much to do with it...although cocaine...does affect ur voice...very slightly
