I watched this and now I love you. Avenged was my favorite band for four years XD Then I found Tower of Power and Coheed and tried to expand my taste. the mistakes in a and b is when u use the double pedal.

and in c, i think the mistakes start from minutes 4:25, and again it's because double bass...

there's two ways, i think.

the first; you can get an actual double bass pedal, with two beaters, and fit both the beaters on one pad, like i did.

second; i'm not sure on this one, but i'm pretty sure you can actually buy another bass pad, and have two. on the back of the bass pad there's two input's, unlike the other pads which only have one (pad > DTX). So i think the second input is for another bass pad, but i'm not 100% sure.

Or by far the easiest way... assign the hi hat pedal to make a bass drum sound. Read the manual ;)

You won't be able to open and close the hi hat (you'll always get an open sound) but it saves you the money on a double pedal.

I actually made two custom kits right next to each other.

One has a standard hihat setup, the other always has a closed hihat sound, both have the hihat pedal set to bass drum on hihat-close and hihat-splash.

You can toggle between them like you would a drop clutch by just tapping the spinner on the actual drum module one click in either direction.

well im not a teacher :L but what i wud say is start off slowly a evenly, dont jump straight in. cos the worst thing you can do is push yourself too much, and then you might pick up bad habits or whatnot. just try and play to a metronome alot, and then slowly increase the speed of the metronome. and if you're getting this kit then you can just use the metronome on there XD good luck!
