Like marriage for example, it is a beautiful and romantic thing to be asked to spend the rest of your life togetherwith someone and take care of eachother, a thing to be grateful for.

I am still trying to farthom the reason for your position after gleening from the interview above that you are not yet married. How can you make proper judgement on something you have never experienced. Even if your position is informed by a multitude of experiences that other persons may have related to you, the above conclusion will not be right because there are very many dynamics, so many variables involved in the institution.

I do not agree with you Chimamanda that marriage is a very dangerous institution for women. I do not know what may have informed this kind of perception concerning a great institution like marriage.

I am a married man and I am proud to announce over this medium that my wife's name is Ijeoma (nee Mbara) and to add that she is one of the best things that have happened to me. I also believe that this feeling is mutual and that she would not agree with your perception of marriage.

I think its worth pointing out that there a quite a few women that go into the adventure of the marriage looking forward among many things to participate in the adventure of creating a family and being a mother, challenge for the independent woman.
