  • As a Biafran and Igbo. I am profoundly proud of Chimamanda, Let them go to hell if what they are thinking is not right.

  • Chimamanda, I'm very proud of you. Keep it up.

  • She has a great speaking and laughing voice.

  • it's obvious that she has not lived many lives yet. propelled by her success she is talking about things that she hasn't given enough thought yet. Like marriage for example, it is a beautiful and romantic thing to be asked to spend the rest of your life togetherwith someone and take care of eachother, a thing to be grateful for.

  • She shouldn’t have to defend her liking of America any more than I should have to defend my dislike of it. I come from a position of having been born a citizen with expectations that I be fully treated as such, whereby she sees the world from an immigrant’s perspective – it’s different.

  • To derive the best from the institution of marriage as a man or a woman, both of you must need go by the rules laid down by the ONE that created the institution. In order to successfully do this, you need to be under the control of the Spirit of that PERSONALITY (THE ALMIGHTY GOD) that created it. Check up these scripture references in The Holy Bible (Ephesians 5:21-33; 1 Corinthians 7, etc) deal with a lot of issues related to marriage which when followed can guarantee a blissful marriage.

  • I am still trying to farthom the reason for your position after gleening from the interview above that you are not yet married. How can you make proper judgement on something you have never experienced. Even if your position is informed by a multitude of experiences that other persons may have related to you, the above conclusion will not be right because there are very many dynamics, so many variables involved in the institution.

To derive the best from marriage youmust need go by .... (contd)

  • I do not agree with you Chimamanda that marriage is a very dangerous institution for women. I do not know what may have informed this kind of perception concerning a great institution like marriage.

I am a married man and I am proud to announce over this medium that my wife's name is Ijeoma (nee Mbara) and to add that she is one of the best things that have happened to me. I also believe that this feeling is mutual and that she would not agree with your perception of marriage.

  • @EfunaMUSA bwahahaha that is funny that you would speak on behalf of your wife. That simply reinforces her point.

  • @naijagirl2009 I do not see how my words on behalf of my family and self re-inforces her point, especially given the fact that I speak with a confidence that stems from the assurance that my wife would reflect exactly same position were she the one speaking. As a couple, we praise our God and FATHER for HIS love and wisdom that brought us together. NONE OF US WOULD EVER THINK OF LET ALONE DECLARE THAT THE MARRIAGE THAT HAS BROUGHT US SO MUCH JOY AND FOR WHICH WE ARE GRATEFUL TO GOD IS DANGEROUS.

  • @EfunaMUSA then those words should be coming out of your wife's month, not your own dont you think? Chimamanda is saying that men are often the voice in a marriage, and you are here speaking on behalf of your wife. No one is saying your love for one another is not true, but let her second your words, otherwise it just lacks validity.

  • Chimamanda is a gangstar. Take it or leave it

  • They are hot

  • This is my Sistar and Im proud of you. I think more black women should speak out! Peace & Light 2 U....

  • Bad girl

  • Adichie is great... the interviewer on the other hand was terrible.

  • I think its worth pointing out that there a quite a few women that go into the adventure of the marriage looking forward among many things to participate in the adventure of creating a family and being a mother, challenge for the independent woman.
