There isn't really any "best guitar." It's all about opinion and stuff.

Right now my current guitar is a Fender Strat from 1987, and it's my favorite guitar to play on, but I'm sure it's just because it's what I'm so used to.

If I moved to a guitar that felt better, then that would be a better guitar for me.

Try a bunch of different guitars and go with whatever FEELS best for you. :]

personally, i hate finder. i hate the sound. if you get new pickups go for it. i think its poor quality. i like ibanez, bc rich, esp, gibson, and epiphone.

You mean 'Fender'.

I won't say they're poor quality since Fender has been in the guitar business since electric guitars were first made. Pickups indeed have a lot to do with their sound but there are other factors too. Fender brings to the table quality for its price. If you hate the sound, you probably dislike the single-coil sound since most electric guitars nowadays primarily use a humbucker pickup while Fender Strats still utilize the 3-single coil config on their traditional models.

@matgta3 Fender is amazing, BC Rich has poor quality. Gibson and Epiphone are just about the same brand and sound. Ibanez are really good guitars. ESP's not so great, but they're not bad. But dont knock the Fender man, they're pretty much the best Rock-n-Roll guitar out there. Sure Gibson has a nice rock and roll sound but who can afford those now a days? :P

Umm the openeing harmonic is on the 2 string 7th fret.....play it before the song actual starts with the harmonic and you will notice that the harmonic will match what you just palyed
