It's important to note that this sells for a LOT more on the Alliance side than it does on Horde. Sell it on the neutral AH or farm it as an Alliance toon. Just picking flowers in Wintergrasp will get you a lot more gold in a shorter time anyway. *shrug*. Farm WC for the perfect deviate scales (skinning!), and the hatchie will be a windfall.

I got the hatchling the first time I ran WC, which was about my fourth day playing the game ever. I had no idea it was rare and neither did anyone else in my group. It took me about 12 runs, over the space of three months, to get another one as a gift for my teammate. Oddly, I made a *lot* of gold on Deviate Scale Belts and Perfect Deviate Scales (twink belt, and mats for twink belt.) By the time I got the second hatchling, 500 gold wasn't a lot to me at all.

Because:

1) It's a horde instance and it's very hard to get lowbies over there.

2) I don't kill any bosses, so loot is a non-issue.

3) The exp is negligible with a level 80 in the group (about 9exp per kill).

4) I only kill 30 mobs a run, so exp is even more terrible.

No, don't waste time skinning. The leather they drop is worth 1g/stack at maximum. Not worth the time to even skin. Just go kill raptors, reset, repeat.

Yup, really any class starting at like level 25 could do this place easily, just not as fast as a high level 1 shotting things. But, like my other strategies for low levels, even doing this slow = BIG gold. Like my westfall farming video, where the **** else can a level 15 or 25 make 500+ gold PER hour. That's unheard of and you can ONLY find strategies like this from me. Other gold-strategists don't know **** about how to maximize gold potential.

Yeah, I mean you don't HAVE to be level 35. The raptors/druids you're killing are level 18-20 elites. So, it might be really slow going, but I am sure you could be soloing this in here at like...25? 30 you could kill stuff without a problem, 35+ just makes it quicker.

It's a random 1 in ~250 drop rate. It is quite statistically possible to clear the instance 5 times (150 raptors) and not get a hatchling pet. Keep trying, it'll drop.
