The Sims 2 for Mac - Reinstalling the main game

I just bought the Sims 2 Today. Sadly, it couldn't install because I have the pc version.I searched google asking for questions and finally remembered that you need to get a mac version of the game. 20 Bucks down the drain :/

when I put the sims 2 game it dosent come up with the sims 2 window it come sup with a hole bunch of weird files like DirectX Autorun etc, I can do anything with them I am using a mac does it work on all mac's?

I had the main game as well as some xpacs. Do i need to reinstall the xpacks or just the main game?

when i click on the icon sims 2 it does not open what u get. it opens a folder that has many files like autorun, cs bin ext. i tried cliking on auto run n nothing happens... how do i get what u get?????

I have the mac osx and when i open the sims2/Double deluxe it just gives me a bunch of smaller folders, the only real thing u can do is uninstall the game, there isn't a option to install?? :S HELP!

do you know how to uninstall ALL the expansions + game because the sims 2 expansion - seasons wont install :(

@motherofgod4 Okay, so do what he is doing. Since the expansion packs are in The Sims 2/Expansion Packs, they would uninstall with the game. However, I'm not sure abut the other steps....

I think if he was more lively and animated we would probably get annoyed..a normal tone and a few pauses makes it helpful if your lost. thanks this was helpful!
