  • Shared this video on dermaplaning on the mySkin Facebook page:) Thanks for this great video:)

  • I know this may seem stupid but, can I use a normal razor (that you shave your leg with) to remove my upper lip hair please and I'm a woman :P

    Thanks

  • Could you do a demo on this new hair removal technique called the Selectif Pro by Applisonix. It uses ultrasound to selectively destroy the hair follicles. There are a few Youtube videos about this new technique but I wanted your review and perspective.

  • I have PCOS and i have facial hair and im scared to use that razor thing you just showed because I'm scared that it will grow more and thicker

  • Sorry to hear about that superstarsmom. It may have been the technician at fault there. Electrolysis is VERY time consuming and reported as very effective. I would expect you to say that about laser instead.

  • But do you use the razor on your upper lip? I used to shave there and it discolored my skin and it was noticable that I shaved there.

  • @balletnow your skin should not be discolored from shaving. Shaving exfoliates the skin leaving new skin exposed. If you have a lot of hair on the upper lip it can look lighter than the rest of the skin when you shave because that hair was blocking the sun. The same would happen if you shaved your brows. There would be a light strip where your brow used to be because the hair blocked it from the sun.

  • I need HELP with my upper lip hair & skin! The skin is discolored, pores are larger, & it looks rough compared to rest of my smooth facial skin. I'm only 23. I shaved, then used cream removers (burned skin) & waxed(ripped my skin off) Now I thread & bella wand but it reveals my scares more. What should I do to remove the hair & smooth out my skin to look like the rest of my face?Foundation makes it looks rougher.I could be exageratting, b/c ppl always say i'm very pretty. PLEASE respond asap!!

  • @balletnow your poor skin. It's probably screaming right now from the wax and the chemicals. What's worse is if you go out into the sun after doing those things it can cause pigment problems and enlarge your pores. If the hair is really fine, shaving with a brow shaver is great.

If the hair is thicker you really want to think about electrolysis. It's been the most dependable option on the market.

  • You are gorgeous

  • for those who have pcos there are also hormone balancing prescriptions that can dramatically reduce the facial hair growth

  • Sorry, but electrolysis is *not* permanent. Wasted lots of money on that.

  • another tip is to shave in the shower.

  • i have hair all over my face, i waxed it then used a special cream called vaniqua and it has neeeeever come back!

anyway i know this is a facial hair video, but basically i need help.. i used an epilator on my arms and hands, even though it was hardly noticeable in the first place, yeh i regret it.

what should i dooooo its coming back horrible and dark!!

  • Sorry to bother you I know its been 6months since you commented! Can I just ask how you are getting on with the vaniqua cream? I want to start using it. Is it neceasary to wax the hair first. Is it safe to use all over the face? Your advice would be very much appreciated.

  • DONT USE IT ALL OVER YOUR FACE!

i broke out terribly in spots, after not using it my face is perfectly clear again- though i still use it on my tash and chin!

its cool for those places but i wouldnt use it anywhere else :)

  • @counterparts941 waxing might soften those hairs a bit. For some reason the way the epilator pulls out the hair can cause them to look and feel a bit wacky! Try waxing and then using the vaniqua over that, but consult with your doc first!

  • If unwanted hair is removed will it come back, or is it a temporary solution?
