The biggest problem stems back to the 6 day war when Israel had the Arab countries on there knees. We should have rolled our tanks into Cairo and Amman and Damascus. We didnt and instead made peace. The standard of living and the welfare of the Arabs of Palestine rose much more quickly than they did in neighboring countries. Israel has a history of helping Palestinians - they taught them agriculture and helped them prosper. Conflicts ensued gradually but it was the Palestinians who rejected the UN partition plan and vowed to "drive the Jews into the sea." All the UN plan did was formalize what already existed.

The biggest problem stems back to the 6 day war when Israel had the Arab countries on there knees. We should have rolled our tanks into Cairo and Amman and Damascus. We didnt and instead made peace. Hind sight is a wonderful thing but if we had our time again, we should have done it. Things would be different today.

The standard of living and the welfare of the Arabs of Palestine rose much more quickly than they did in neighboring countries.
