  • I'm a hopeless alcoholiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiic!

  • none of your comments have anything to do with the video. who cares if punk is "alive" or "dead" or cool or not. i dont give a fuck what you like or dislike and i could care less about your fucking opinon on punk rock. its always the same conversation over and over again. if you like it, isnt that enough?

not a huge bouncing souls fan, theyre a little on the poppy side for me but i do really like this song.

    good day, fucks.

  • @4tures It's all about respect.

You can have your opinion and respect a band for taking their own path and respect another persons view on that.

Most people are too ignorant to realize that, or just simply don't want to.

  • Fuck looks and the "punk dress code" rule, but damn no punks I know can quit his dayjob as vocalist (Guy on far left) makin 500 bucks a month plus 5 free drink tickets at a show then have a chance to bank10 g's an hour for a photoshoot posing for a G.Q. magazine cover or bein the coverboy for a Calvin Klein ad!! ha!

  • @hecticcargo True punk sells butter, mate.

  • @MegaVietNam I am going to make a shirt that says "True punks sell butter" and wear it everywhere. Do i have your permission to use that phrase?

  • @TedEdFred21 If it pisses a lot of people, then yes

  • I d even go so far as to say not only that punks not dead but with OFF! reminding everyone who gave up on it that's its most vital form of music in this politially charged country and world...

  • you violate everything punk stands for ... which is nothing (comic book guy)

  • sounds nice

  • i am a hopeless romantic... for punk music :D

  • Bouncing Souls was the first concert I took my neice to when she was 15- I felt it was important she become firmly rooted in punk music because of what it embodies- CHARACTER, STRENGTH, INDIVIDUALITY. No other genre can boast that

  • @wendylynae777 that's amazing, i feel that punk is the basis for my sense of right and wrong and looking after those dear to me , thanx for the awesome comment.

  • Punk's not dead mate, he's just rat arsed in the bogs.

  • Nearly everyone I know who likes punk agrees: it is the core, the end result, and the foundation of all good music. If they don't agree then they don't actually like punk. 70s and 80s punks, 90s punks, modern punks. I've talked to many and they agree: punk is all you need.

  • @hardcorecrispy another wisconsin fella that likes the real punk rock

  • today I'm gonna do a tattoo on my back: "Hopeless Romantic"

  • seeing these in london tomorrow night and im SO FUCKING STOKED !!!!!

  • Yes I'm hopeless!!!

  • 4 people are just hopeless

  • Great band, they never should've changed drummers though. It kinda ruined them for me, changed their whole feel.

  • First off, don't start with any that's not punk or this is punk b.s. you bastards, this is a totally stupid question, but I must say can anyone name a singer of any punk bands that has a more "male model, could pose on the front cover of G.Q. magazine" looks than the singer for this band? Shit..

  • aww man i forgot how awesome punk is, as soon as i fugure out how my ipod works im puttin BS on it so i can listen to them all day :)

  • punk is not punk

  • its 6 AM and all i wanna do now is skate...yet the music wouldn't be there and the feeling would just dissipate

  • discussing about what is punk is not punk.

  • @guitarmastar Thank you!

  • @guitarmastar Not being punk... Is not punk

  • i've tattooed this

  • I gave you my love and if you just turned away, I guess I'd be screwed. I love how it has this tone of "I'd be sad, but I've kind of accepted it for what it would be". I like that :) there's something amusing about it.

  • four people are just hopeless

  • Oh and btw, I love this song. That's right, I'm commenting the song.

  • stfu about all this punk is dead shit. I still go to punk shows. I still listen to punk music. I love every type of punk. Music never dies. End of story.

  • @chino8it2 yeah I agree man, as long as people still listen to it, write it and go to shows to hear it, I don't see how it's anywhere near dead.

  • @chino8it2 yes.

  • 4 people have never had their souls bounced.

  • Punk is never dead. It's inside you.

  • @Kurzgan oh come off it with that "it's inside you" nonsense! punk existed for six months in the UK and America in 1976 and died when it became a parody itself. Punk rock, like the bouncing souls, well that's a kind of music inspired by the punk ethic...but true punk, as it was in '76, was a pretty ugly, non user-friendly subculture where kids wore swastikas on their jackets not because they were nazis but because they wanted to offend people. What's inside you is civil disobedience, not punk.

  • @Reegatron how did it die?

  • @SebbeSucksBawlz

From summer '76 to summer '77 (at the latest), punk was real. It was music made by and for the underclass youth of London and New York, a scene rife with violence and hard drug abuse. Society, especially in UK, was way more reserved in 1976 so the Sex Pistols saying the Queen Mother was a cunt was a huge deal. Punk was condemned by the establishment and the media, so it became cool. The scene became flooded with fashionistas and copycat bands (even T-Rex had a go) and died.

  • @Reegatron I get what you mean but all you're saying is that punk died because it became famous and a bunch of posers joined in. I can't stand the "z0mg you need a mohawk to be punk" cunts who are killing it, but that doesn't mean punk is actually dead because of them. that's like saying hardcore is dead because a bunch of emos and scenies call their music hardcore.

  • @SebbeSucksBawlz

Hmm should've explained more: it was a sociopolitical rage which couldn't last long anyway - inherently self-destructive, inviting controversy and trouble. The music was an outlet for the real ugly soul of punk: youth ultra-nihilism in the working class. The jackets with nazi and porno imagery were a way of saying fuck off to everyone, it was not an open scene. So when outsiders took an interest it automatically collapsed. The music remains but 'punk' was a moment in time.

  • @Reegatron It's music >.< music never dies. It can't. Music is never alive to begin with. Music can be listened to for generations.

  • @chino8it2

That's nice, but irrelevant. I was talking specifically about the punk scene of thr late 70s. And scenes can die...for example the new wave scene (late 70s/early 80s), the prog rock scene (late 60s/early70s), the glam rock scene (mid 70s) to name a few. Like I said, the music remains but the social scene surrounding it usually has a shelf life.

  • @Reegatron The "punk scene" and punk are two complete different things. Maybe your punk scene sucks, but the shows I've been to are alive and well. Do you have a PHD in punk?

  • @chino8it2 You mistake me for someone who says modern 'punk rock' sucks. Playing in a dozen bands, touring across 14 countries and playing 1000+ shows over the last 10 years is more than equal to any punk PhD...so I don't think my 'punk credentials' are in doubt. Anyway the punk scene of 76/77 was the one and only true punk scene (see my other comments). Every punk rock band that came after that, my scene and your scene included, is part of a very inspired but also completely separate entity.

  • @Reegatron Nice troll, bro. The people who are into it now are into it cus of heart. The majority of the people in it then were just taking place in the current fad. There were hipsters who wanted to be part of something new. Not something they liked.

  • @chino8it2 Don't know what you mean by "troll" but in any case it appears you have completely missed my point about the 76/77 scene, and in doing so you actually made my point for me as well, weirdly enough. Point being that the original nucleus scene was eventually killed by those fakers and hipsters who were in it for the image, not the feeling. They arrived less than six months after it began in mid- '76, but for those six months it was no outsiders, no bullshit, just raw nasty venomous punk.

  • @Reegatron nicely said

  • @SebbeSucksBawlz : i'm still punk!!

  • @Kurzgan word.

  • punk aint dead assholes it was never mainstream.. go find it...smh

  • Love this tune. Respect to a New Jersey band who've been doin it since the 80s

  • @DwnAszPunk Nope man, punk isn't dead, at least in Salt Lake City. My band plays DIY basement shows. Sure, we don't have mohawks or leather jackets with our favorite bands sewn in, but we have a good time skanking in the living rooms. Even if only 20 people show up, punk isn't dead.

  • No, punk is not dead becouse there're people like us that enjoy a good music

  • this song totally reminds me of my ex...

I bought her two of The Bouncing Souls early EPs for her birthday, she was in love with these guys...

she even had the anchor tattooed to her..

shouldn't of let that one go...

  • I'm kinda lazy and i kinda stink

But i'll clean myself up for you

the lyrics totally fit me :)

  • I was a hopeless Romantic all the way.

  • Absolute CLASSIC.

  • I don't really know if this means anything to you people but I'm very deeply in love with this girl and whenever I felt discouraged or depressed over her this song and "kid" would get me through. I put on this record and I wrote her a letter. The record ended right as I finished writing, I swear to god. It didn't end well for me though, but at least I have this song. True Believers all the way </3

  • irreplaceable bouncing souls!!

  • i am an emotional sycophant in more than one way

  • Hahaha this explains my mood every fuckin day, TBS always makes my day more chipper

  • I love love love the bouncing souls

  • 3 people are hopeless.. lol xD

  • punk-o-rama 4!

  • so underrated band

  • <3<3<3

  • Punk and rock and metal and all that shit is great!! I'm only 12 and i have a better taste in music than most teenagers! A lot of people listen to all that gay stuff like lil wayne and kid cudi and stuff, and all of that is garbage! Punk isnt dead! Screw mainstreet music! Anybody who listens to that crap can suck a fat weener! Go to hell and die you frickin fag justin beiber fans. i wish i could knock some sense into every little fag who listens to shit music! Fuck you justin rap and pop!!!!

  • @Roach1998 Are you a homophobe? plus you never know, Some people who like bouncing Souls might suck penises as well. Mainstream music isn't all bad, so don't parade around saying it taste taste taste

  • @OptimusEsq im not a homophobe. I have have nothing against the gays

  • @OptimusEsq Gay and fag are just words now dude XD They really don't have the meaning they used to.

  • this perfectly describes my situation right now

  • The fact that I haven't heard this song in 7 years but still remember all the lyrics and jam out to it like i was 18 again says something about the quality of this band. Cant wait to see them with Bad Religion next week!

  • @Iconoclast020 And the fact that I saw them in an empty club 20 years ago and I'm still listening to them says something about the quality also :) This is the music of our life, we'll be singing these song till the day we fuckin die.

  • @Iconoclast020 That sounds like THE GREATEST show ever!!

  • @Iconoclast020

    haha you and me both!

  • Ahaha, Story of my fuckin life.

  • Jersey Made.

  • Simply awesome

  • this is punk fuck all those shitty emo bands emos annoy me

  • I'm a hopeless romantic!

    :P

    hahaha!

  • punk was not dead in the 90s at all and it's still not quite dead, but it is gasping dangerously at the moment! there is still some good punk bands out there! calabrese and the decomposed are awesome horror punk bands! the bugs are a cool new punk band, very ramones-ish, but good nonetheless! there is still good punk out there, its just very underground at the moment!

  • @oxrjbizzle1984y Punk was never meant to be a mainstream thing, so the fact that its very underground means real punk isn't dead, but mainstream punk is. Which is a good thing.

  • @CreepyFreakFilms Clearly only very cool people should know about music they love and the bands should continue to toil in your basement for free instead of bringing that same energy to people all over the world. Go DIAF you elitist prick.

  • @shaqmoped I'm just speaking my mind, man. I didn't say other people aren't allowed to know. It's just not meant to be mainstream.

  • @shaqmoped PS. I didn't say I hated 'mainstream' punk.

  • whats the name of that tune fiftyways to leave your lover

  • Why not focus on whether punks dead or not just listen to the music and show your support

  • people who says punks dead it is not looks like theyre crazy man... just look at the souls by now look social distortion and yeah we're underground but what the hell if theres kids with guitars angry boys with instruments and can play a simple speed song punk never fucking die my friends

  • @Drope182 if its underground then its deffo not dead, and honestly, punk should stay underground, fuck all these bands that just sellout their beliefs just for a bit of money. punk will never die as long as people still listen to it.

  • PUNK ISNT DEAD

    HIPHOP ISNT DEAD

    MUSIC EVOLVES JUST LIKE PEOPLE

    MUSIC WILL NEVER DIE!!!!!!!!!

and if it does i will 2.

  • why to be punk if you can be yourself ? stop coping and paste, my life my way !!!

  • Punk is only dead if you make it that way. Some great bands are still around, and they don't have to exactly look, sound or act it to be it. There's a main inspritation and then there's the indifference. What pulls Bad Religion from NoFX from Rancid from U.S Bombs (the list goes on). There's a difference of being different from others and classifying yourself as a "punk". I can't tell ya what exactly it is, but i believe i got an idea of it

  • yea I agree

thats why me and my friend have made a "Save Punk Rock" group on facebook hahaha

  • I hope you die in a fire you piece of shit.

  • lol yeah punks been dead for fucking ever, even the newer scenes are starting to die out due to drugs and shit. Thats how it is out here, but I have a hard time looking at street as punk rock as it is, but even streets dying off, its mostly crust and shit. however, some great old punk bands are still out playing, which is great. But we need a new movement anyway, so people should leave it alone and move to soemthing better.

  • its a fucking bullshit tha punks die it never die if its in our hearts today we keep it alive

  • f*ck yeah!!

  • Boo all those 90's and very early 2000's bands are gone. If punk was dead then, it's an unrecognizable skeleton today.

  • @DwnAszPunk punk is an undefinable concept. therefore it cannot die, as the spirit of the music will live one

  • @DwnAszPunk punk's not dead, it's just back to where it began. strictly underground.

there's a lot of crap, but if you know where to look, you will find the real shit.

  • @DwnAszPunk I saw The Bouncing Souls this summer. Hope that makes you feel better. Oh and it was one hell of a show!

  • @DwnAszPunk As long as punk music is played in at least one speaker in this world it is alive

  • @DwnAszPunk Punk isn't dead. It never was. It's changing as is everything else in the world. Evolution is part of life.

  • @DwnAszPunk They're not gone I just saw Pennywise/Decendents/NOFX/Bouncing Souls this past weekend.

  • @DwnAszPunk Punk died and went to heaven...

  • @skatfree Punk died and was brought back to life by the people who hated it, then they peacefully murdered it once again....

  • @DwnAszPunk Dude. In every generation the older people will say Punk is dead and the younger kids will say it isn't. I don't know whats going to happen to Punk Rock, but we just have to keep going.

  • @DwnAszPunk fuck all go to basement shows.if you cant find em there comer here in wisconsin.

  • @asthmacat - I am from Wisconsin and I completely agree. I prefer going to a basement show and freaking out to some good tunes. Then paying ridiculous amounts of money to see some of these bigger bands who get on stage and have no energy or turn their backs to the crowd or whatnot.

  • @Arithmatiks it's good to know i'm not the only person in Wisconsin that still likes REAL punk music

  • I'm the opposite w/ my Souls love....I dig Maniacal Laughter and the Self titled the best.

  • I'm the same. Maybe its because those are the first 2 I heard back when I use to skate but those 2 albums are always in rotation.

  • I'm a hopeless romantic. You're just hopeless. Greatest line ever.

  • @jealousjessie aye but "beer n wine does me fine, but it doesn't always do" -timeless lol

  • @jealousjessie Fucking right dude!

  • whats a better record anchors aweigh of how i spent my summer vacation?

  • How I spent my summer vacation is a better record imo.

  • @njdkidd1231 oh man haha tough choice b/c they peaked at those 2 albums...it depends on the mood I'm in really. I'd have to say Anchors Aweigh...some of those songs are so epic

  • @RobbieGoldE i know man, i got anchors aweigh for xmas, i still have to listen to it alot but songs like kids and heros, simple man, and todds song stuck out. there are other good ones 2 but those are my favs after like my first listen or so

  • it reminds me and my girlfriend, I'm a hopeless romantic, she's just hopeless XD...but i love her

  • "Beer and wine does me fine, but it doesn't always do"

    Awesome.

  • Song could pass as a "modern" misfits song...

  • I gave you my love and if you turned away

    I guess i'd be screwed

  • Your just hopless...

  • Your grammar and spelling are hopeless.

  • Yeah, they really are.
