@ParkJameson Correlation was a hard word for me to understand, but if it means what i think it is.... well, im not an expert on satanism, but Satanistic BM bands that uses "corpsepaint", from what i've heard, they are using the paint to release their inner demons(lol), they show the true face.. or something like that.

And well, i hate posers, mainly those who arent using a different gimmick, and corpsepaint is so common it gets boring and stupid.

A band's image does not change their music. The songs will sound the same regardless of what the band looks like.

That being said, I think in a live context, bands should put on an energetic show that matches their lyrical content.

Massakren is not a "Satanic" band, none of the members have any "inner demons", and Massakren is not a "true black metal" band.

Massakren is just a metal band. We wear makeup as a result of our battle, mythology, and death-based lyrical content.

Those that do use it for the image. Just as this band does just as a gothic rock band would. There are even Folk metal bands that use face paint. Just because some black metal bands did is does not make face paint Satanistic.

Just to clarify, the corpse paint is a result of our lyrical content. To us, it makes perfect sense and is a fitting visual to both the musical and lyrical content.

Regarding the unicursal hexagram, it has less to do with "Satan" and more to do with the Self and Will, which to us are seen as extremely important. It is not a gimmick.

But that is unfair, and highly inaccurate. Even if it is commercial, it doesn't deserve being labeled as core. It simply doesn't have anything in it that makes it related to hardcore music and the genres that follows it.

@WolfieboyMachi i don't know any of those bands but i checked one out and while they're not metal i cannot deny they have musical characteristics. heavy distortion some dissonance ect. so there are metal aspects but unfortunately for them the core tainting makes them as metal as Madonna (who isn't metal btw). in all honesty i couldn't care less what happens to core shit as long as massakren fans don't go around thinking they're into black metal.
