I bought it over ebay.co.uk , and you can find lots of them in there, boxed and all, since it was in the United Kingdom (and most of Europe in general) that the Commodore Amiga had and it still has a great community. If you have already a canadian or american ebay account you can use that one to sign in on ebay.co.uk and once you're there you just have to search for commodore amiga 1200 computer and I'm pretty sure must of the sellers will ship to Canada. Hope this tip will help you!

@1UPGameOver Ok no prob :) i just get it working :P Intalled Advanced pack and now i have a fully functional whdload. I just don't know how to use RawDIC to install games yet but all the others work great.

Hi there can you help me please? I can run only a few games with whdloader. I've seen a 4Mb A600 running many games without any problem... But on my A1200 4Mb i can't run them. Am i doing something wrong or i really do need an expansion card?

By the way the Amiga systems i own are:

Amiga 500 plus

Amiga 600 HD

Amiga 1200 CF

Amiga CD32

No, for what I know 4 Mb suits you for most of the games in whdloader. I had to buy an expansion card 64Mb, because I only had the stock 2 Mb and that didn't work for most of the games. For what I can recall theree's an utility on the Workbench called mem cleaner or something of that sort, use it to free unused space to try to have those 4Mb as dedicated and then try to fire a game. buy da expansion for extra boost to play AGA games and have full potencial on higher res apps.

I'm using the original one, not that I don't like the classic WB 'cause I do and I want to install it one day, but that would make me have to install WHDLoader again, and I don't know how to do it ('cause I bought a CF HD with it already instaled and pretty much all the games released for all the Amiga systems)... and I'm too lazy to search info on that and to make that honestly ;)

I sold my A1200HD (bought in 1994) and th only Amiga that I now own AND use is the little sister A600 :)

@FreeWinSlave I never was a fan of the A600, because I remember my friend back in the day his dad bought him one, and most of the games we played in the A500 would not load in his A600. But I believe using a CF disk drive with WHDload that problem is fixed right?

The Amiga 1200 was my favorite computer and I used it as my primary comp up to about 2003. Awesome addition to your collection!

Loved the Amiga music btw... Shadow of the Beast is my all-time favorite Amiga game.

I have the Amiga 500 with 1Mb of RAM too. And I rather load my floppy games on that one, 'cause you get a more original feeling to it, you know I always liked the originals best :)

I use the A1200 with a internal Compact Flash card with WDHLoader, where I have pretty much all the games that came out for the Amiga 500, CD32. AMIGA CDTV and the AGA games... There the fun is only a mouse click away :)
