Yes, my whole family revolves around trucks. My dad owns Pacific Tank Lines in California. My uncles started their own livestock hauling business B&S trucking. My step dad drives for CR England, but he is leaving soon.
CR ENGLAND is driving him absolutely nuts and he is way more stressed than he was when he was driving for knight. I asked Trucking Paul if R&R had a website because he likes pulling a reefer and likes driving Kenworth. I want him to drive for Western Distributing Trans Corp. They have KW that are completely loaded 550 18 speed and chicken lights on their trucks and trailers. with 6 brake lights on trailer 6 right 6 left
Well he just found out R&R is only hiring teams. He's looking at Western also. I sent a note to Steve (Trucker Steve) and asked what some good OTR 48 state companies were that use reefer's
Thank You. Well he got rejected at Western because he doesn't have 3 years of reefer experience, he only has 1.5. I know for a fact May has reefer 48 state because that is how my uncle started out in driving. He probably is going to look at May because he likes their trucks, especially their O/O trucks.
He just applied to MAY about an hour ago. If he gets accepted he will be flying from UTAH to Oregon for Orientation. Possibly at the beginning of the week. I sent Steve a note saying how trucker steve sent my step dad to them.

That Problem is normal here at germany. No places for the trucks and drivers. Industriareas will be closed for trucks and if you parking there you became a ticket! You must make your rest if not you pay many money. If you making your rest you pay too! I hate it!
That is not right!!! I'm sorry to hear that. Sounds like a lose, lose situation! Don't they know you keep the world moving? What would they do without you moving the freight? Hope it gets better some how!
The tried those Idle Airs here in Oz but no one used them. Nowadays most interstaters have got diesel power packs or battery-electric air con for when you're stopped.

I was trapped there for a few days this last winter in a snow storm, it sucked, you wanna talk about no room, there were guys parked in the fuel island all the way out to the street, I had 5 trucks blocking me in. The truck stop ran out of fuel, food, supplies, the roof collapsed in the truck stop, half the showers and toilets didn't work and it was all of 15 degrees with 40mph blowing winds of snow. One of the worst experiences in my trucking career thus far haha.
Damn thats a long truck loaded on that trombone trailer at 0.22 , did they discover oil in Oregon? Looks like something that could be made into a bed truck.....thanks for the idleair description, I would have never known what that was

I've heard some guys might do that and then bobtail into town for one reason or another. They might have had to pay to drop it, too, if they're going to leave it for any length of time. Either way, I bet they had to notify the truck stop. Someone might be able to correct me on this...

Cool vid ZT, lots of trucks for my enjoyment. It's amazing to see all those 53'.... I'm not used to that. Here 53' is max size for the whole train (truck + trailer), so you see... I see those as really looooong trailers, and I bet you see ours really short, lol.

Yup, those idle airs... I was going to stop to see how much they were but it was too crowded around the "pay" area. I didn't know it was like that...everywhere.. I think you guys need more parking!
In the day time, they run $1.99/hr and night time it can cost up to $2.89/hr plus a biannual membership fee of 10 bucks, plus you have to buy the addapter to put that piece of crap in the window... right now, its cheaper to idle the truck. I'm getting fuel @ 2.14/gal idling burns .5 gal/hr so that comes up to 1.12/hr to run the truck. When i cant find a spot, i'll pull in one of those, tell em to piss off and kick back in the A/C provided by the bossman and powered by Cummins. cool video, 5/5
You are so right! I haven't used IdleAire for years now. I was curious about them when they first came out and thought I'd try them out but like you said, it just costs too much money.
When fuel was $4.90/gal I suggested idleaire to the bossman. He said "Naw, just idle it, I get a good fuel surcharge." That tells me that if you know how to work the system, you CAN make $ even when fuel is high
looked like ah lot of money makin machines just siting there idle ta me,....and ya wanna spend more money for more parking? i would think it would be cheaper to just go in da Mens room and yell:

Alot of dropped trailers taking up space their. I have been to that stop and it is hard to find parking there.

Yup, those idle airs... I was going to stop to see how much they were but it was too crowded around the "pay" area. I didn't know it was like that...everywhere.. I think you guys need more parking!

In the day time, they run $1.99/hr and night time it can cost up to $2.89/hr plus a biannual membership fee of 10 bucks, plus you have to buy the addapter to put that piece of crap in the window... right now, its cheaper to idle the truck. I'm getting fuel @ 2.14/gal idling burns .5 gal/hr so that comes up to 1.12/hr to run the truck. When i cant find a spot, i'll pull in one of those, tell em to piss off and kick back in the A/C provided by the bossman and powered by Cummins. cool video, 5/5

You are so right! I haven't used IdleAire for years now. I was curious about them when they first came out and thought I'd try them out but like you said, it just costs too much money.
I'd rather idle that truck.

When fuel was $4.90/gal I suggested idleaire to the bossman. He said "Naw, just idle it, I get a good fuel surcharge." That tells me that if you know how to work the system, you CAN make $ even when fuel is high

looked like ah lot of money makin machines just siting there idle ta me,....and ya wanna spend more money for more parking? i would think it would be cheaper to just go in da Mens room and yell:
Either crap,.. or get of the pot so somebody else can have a turn! lol

Very cool Zoe....love seeing all the trucks together in one place. I agree with you on how its a sad day that truckers can work all these hours and not even be able to find a place to park for the night. TOTAL BULL CRAP!!!

I didn't make it to Hood..made it ONE exit past Troutdale to the Lewis & Clark River. It was so pretty and fun! Can't wait to see your video! We saw St. Helen's on the way back looking all snowy and pretty!
