Actually they were worried about "going to far" and getting an AO rating. If they actually got, it would be suicide for anybody not to carry it because then Midway (now owned by WB) will just do the Direct2Drive thing and threaten not to release it on consoles.

After Deception, the series should've ended. Which it does now, because all the MK characters are dead. Or so they say Armageddon's story line was based on. But Deadly Alliance was the best in my opinion.
