Good speech but it was just like hundreds of athletes and other musicians before him tell you to reach for you goals, and it's good the people were singing because it helped make him sound better because touring does have an effect on your voice which is probably why he's not hitting the higher notes you hear on the album. Shinedown is one of the only bands or musicians that I really like from the 2000's the songs have meaning and I always liked his voice

Wow, first singer I've seen able to hold the notes live. I'm not a huge Shinedown fan but they are easily one of the best preformers live. So many bands are strictly good on albulm with studio editing, these guys are legit. Awesome.

That is a common mistake made by common persons like yourself. I listen to the advice totally disregarding the source. If it sounds good, I'll follow it, if it makes no sense, I disregard.
