This goes out to my wife... Angela Holmes-Williams.. from Birmingham Alabama now living in Atlanta.. Thanks for being special and so loving... "Sometimes the going will get tough- I muist admit living with me can be tough....." Forgive my mistakes and my habits. And love me as tho you were God- and can only see my good and my undying love toward every breath that life gives us together-.. sorry folks.. Song got me so... sentimental..
What a beautiful song. Totally understanding what a righteous love is all about. With thanksgiving I am blessed with my husbands love. Not because of but inspite of. 36 years of loving through it all. Yes I'm grateful.
Thanks for posting this song. I was 11 years old when this song was recorded/released. This is REAL music for REAL people recorded by REAL singers and REAL instrumentalists.
CLASSIC... HUGE IN THE N.Y.C......ahhh the old school vibe... slow drag with your partner... hold each other close & the words are powerful.... you & your mate feel as if Mr. Rogers is singing too you & you only. A true N.Y.C. classic played by the man himself... Frankie Crocker the Chief Rocker 107.5 in a class by itself! SMOKIN tune thank you twinzor1 for a stroll down memorylane...
Can somebody tell me why radio stations play classics like this and NEVER say the name of the artist? I have never been able to find out who sings this and I LOVE, LOVE this song. I found this today while searching for Hezekiah Walker. Look how God works!! I should have known he was one of the family!
This is the music you heard back in the day when people fell in love not lust and relationships lasted for years. This is the music that feeds the soul and touches the heart.
anyone knows where d.j. is now? i met him back in the 80s when he moved to st. louis with his wife and two kids. he was looking to buy a farm he stayed here for a few years, somehow i lost track of him. he taught me the "correct" cords to that song. lol! i learned a lot about the pre-80s gospel and r&b scene in L.A. from him.
I remember this album, back when I was a little girl and my aunts and uncle would play it and sing every song and then had us young kids singing it after hearing it so much
