@leanah4994 I completely agree - As much as I admire these women, I also pity them to some degree because I don't think they realize that life doesn't have to be that way. I know I couldn't deal with this kind of lifestyle.
I'm torn because I am incapable of accepting this as a lifestyle that is fair to women, but at the same time, I can't help but admire the women to some extent because of the massive amounts of patience they have. i am main-stream LDS... so is my oldest brother. i've never been married but he's been married three times in the LDS temple to all three. his 1st wife died and 2nd wife left the church and 3rd wife he is still with now.
the church and he both say HE IS MARRIED FOR ALL ETERNITY TO ALL THREE WOMEN.
If a woman's husband dies she cannot go tot he temple again to be sealed (married). ONLY A MAN CAN because LDS DO LIVE POLYGAMY EVEN TODAY.

I'm torn because I am incapable of accepting this as a lifestyle that is fair to women, but at the same time, I can't help but admire the women to some extent because of the massive amounts of patience they have. In some ways, they are so good at putting their own needs aside, that the selflessness is something to appreciated. That said, I really believe that no one should be forced to live this way.

It's very interesting to me that some people here will condemn this particular group for interpreting what they believe to be the word of god a certain way and then claiming they know something about god's word. The reality is, if there is a god we are far too insignificant to claim that we could know anything about god, based on the definition of what a god is supposed to be. This is a social matter, nothing more. If we were born into it and scared into belief, we'd be just like them.
