John Boehner thinks he's a powerful man, leading the house majority.
Thankfully the democrats still hold the Senate so he'll be mainly limited to cleaning up problems that were ironically caused way back when the president was a red meat and potato Republican.
Of course people forget Bush the cowboy was actually a blueblooded high class aristocratic Connecticut native.
Republicans want to keep everything the same. They dont have ideas just rhetoric. They had full control for the last 8 years and did nothing but harm to this country. Why does anyone listen to these incompetent lying neocons.
Innocent hard-working families have a better handle on where the economy is at than dumb stock analysts, bankers, politicians, etc. Millions of families predicted things are getting worse & will continue to get worse & they are. The greedy bank execs (scum) & the greedy insurance company execs (thieves) want us to believe things are better so we go out & piss away money, take out whorehouse-loans & go back in debt. This is their solution-lie & say things are better so we'll follow like sheep.
The taxpayers hand these democrat and republican parasites $175,000 a year salary, plus $500,000+ expense account, plus a $5000 year automatic pay raise to tell us the democrats did it or the republicans did it, and that he / they have a better plan.
Here's a plan for these bums. Cut their salary down to 1/4 of what it is now. Cut their expense account to 1/10 what it is now and no pay raises for 12 years. Then limit their times in office to two terms. That's 4 years. Then boot 'em.
You can cut the bull, Mr Boehner. This is NOT a Republican vs Democrat issue, as you fellas want us to believe. You're like two lawyers in the courtroom. You put on good show. Afterwards, it's down to the lawyers club for a beer and a belly laugh.
Washington Dems and Repubs do the exact same thing. After the big debate, it's down to the private club for a choice beer and a belly laugh at how gullible the taxpayers are. The only difference is, the taxpayer picks up the tab for your beer.
I agree the health care proposal is dumb. But the climate bill is important because LESS RELIANCE ON OIL, easily the most important thing we need. that is #1 importance, period. But greedy repubs just want there oil money.
Know this: Barack Obama is the Beast numbered 666 of the Book of Revelation, upon which rides in the Lord of Evil, The Antichrist, the greatest evil the world will ever know.
Huh, who is this guy? I think more people would recognize him, if he wore a Whig. The painting of my great grandfather is more interesting, and fittingly both more current and more historically relevant.
Its hard to know who any of the other side of the aisle is when you have Nancy, Harry,Barney and Barak fighting over the space between the teleprompter. Besides Nancy has to have right angle because the botox might not have worked.Harry is so gray he gets lost in the back ground , Barney's spittle-well would you want to stand in front of him and Barak might have had a cig. Breath mint anyone?
That's witty. Too bad no one will read it since exactly no one but his family care what what's-his-name in the video has to say. Actually, what's-his-name isn't a good title, since it implies people know his face. Let's call him Casper, haunting the web with his rattling about a long since dead political party.
LOL I'm a racist? Exactly how is that? Because I said Casper? Funny that the first thing you thought of is race (not, you know, GHOSTS which is the reference). BTW I'm white. And was in no way talking about race. The question is why are YOU so caught up thinking about race?
LOL says the person with a channel full of videos speaking about race. If you hear about a cartoon ghost, and it reminds you of affirmative action, then you're pretty well off your rocker. And if I have an IPhone and go to Starbucks, I couldn't be "mooching off your tax dollars" -- ya, friggin' idiot. Though again, the point would be that this video might as well have never been made, since Obama shook hands with more people yesterday than are in the Republican party.
If I were "mooching off your tax dollars," I couldn't pay for those items. Man, you are thick. No wonder you're a humorless Republican. I'm sick of speaking to ghosts clinging to a dead party. You can continue with the five Republicans left in whatever state you live in. Because I, and the rest of the nation, are done with you.
A) I forgot, Republicans don't get jokes. I'll refrain from them in the future (as long as there are still Republicans to joke around with -- which is probably t-minus five years).
B) That 31% means you are adding leaners (which puts Dems cover 50%). So, yeah that's close. You can certainly have a national party with 21% of the vote. That is until the Libertarians come and finish off the corpse (as I said, in about five years, if that).
Good thing the republicans didn't have to go bipartisan on Cap and Trade. Now they can mug to the cameras and pretend that they are protecting the people.
Since when have Republicans given a rat's ass about small businesses? Every time I turn on the tv, they are spouting the talking points of whoever lobbied them the most. That goes for healthcare, foreign oil, and coal factories.
Since when has the Republican party EVER offer a solution for our current problems?
Another independent report, financed by Fox News, claims that 90% of people in the US will die if healthcare reform is attempted. Do you want 90% of the country to die? I didn't think so.
You can't spell it out any better than that. The press can't cover up these failed policies forever. It's time for Americans to wake up, claim responsibility for their freedom, and stop expecting big government to make everything okay.
This is where we are. We have a cap and trade bill which simply means we are going to trade"soot" futures. Guess who gets rich? Al Gore and GE. We have nationalized health care if the progressives in D.C. have their way. Congress will still have their fantastic care. Look they have kept Teddy alive. Barney AIDS free and Nancy in a new face every year. Now that is good health care. We the People will be lucky to get a band aide and a mercury laden light bulb. What a swell deal!
EOD7RET America has taken its liberty as right not as a privilege. They have forgot that many have sacrificed their precious patriots blood . You are right it is being stolen from us. In the back rooms of D.C. and in the murky world of the power brokers that operate on Wall St. We are at a cross roads. It will take a Pearl Harbor 9/11 event for America to get off the couch. I think we have already had that event. Some of us just saw it others just went back to sleep.
davehab1 some people are trying to drive solutions that actually work, but are getting blocked out. status quo is not good, state run solutions are far worse
I would like to see a plan that encourage-s, you actually coming up with a plan instead of bashing other peoples work. A plan that encourage-s republicans to actually come up with suggestions on how to fix problems instead of attacking democrats for trying to fix them.
Spend less. Tax less. This will stimulate the business sector and begin to generate wealth.
Do not create unsustainable Ponzi-schemes like ObamaCare. Stop mandating untested green-tech. Allow natural progress.
Be open and good to our foreign allies, be cautious and brutal to our foreign enemies.
Allow failing big businesses to go bankrupt. Every time someone says "X is too big to fail", it means the rest of us schmucks are too small to succeed.
aeuiono This group of politicians currently in office do not want the simple truth you speak. They want to muck it up. Its like putting us all on the merry-go-round and giving us a spin. After you step off who the hell know which direction is what. I want off and I want them to stop the spinning. Every point you make is simple and the exact truth. Unfortunately it is easier to believe a lie and a lot of Americans have bought in to it.
The Republicans have offered an alternative to every one of the Democrat's plans. Your lack of attention to detail is astounding. No wonder Obama got elected.
If you really want to be an informed voter, I recommend watching C-Span. You'll get an inside view of our government and be free to form your own opinion based on what you see. You can watch videos on their website. The video of the cap and trade bill should give you a lot of insight as to what is really going on. You'll probably find it quite entertaining as well.
Both parties lie, that's their job. They present spin. You shouldn't start by favoring one party or the other.
Instead, look into the philosophies behind the movements. Read Hayek vs Marx. Read Mark Levin vs Al Franken. Read the founders' writings. Understand the divide between individualism (right-wing) and collectivism (left-wing).
Next, subscribe to blogs: HotAir vs DailyKos, for example. Learn to recognize spin from both sides.
Yes both parties lie. Truth. The problem is the party in power has a responsibility to EVERY person in this country regardless of their own petty ambitions. The Constitution is the LAW. Not the party's plank . We are being looted and mooched off of by the politicians. I have had enough. Have you? That is simple question.

According to the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics, Rep. Boustany has

fundraising.
