I watched one of these FR500S Mustangs literally clean up everything at a practice season. It was burning up STI's, EVO's and BMW's, so these cars must be setup rather decent.

@SN95Project I see many of these Mustang-Challenge FR500S cars crossing over and running American Iron Extreme now. I don't know if they still run the Miller Cup Mustang-Challenge anymore...???

@NedacFilms The Miller Cup end in 2010. The 2008 FR500S can run in NASA American Iron class. They also can run in SCCA Wold Challenge GTS class. The new 2012 FR500 Boss 302S is legal for the same above classes.

Its a stock 4.6 liter GT motor... but you have to consider that the suspension and braking are so built up that you are able to put every bit of that 325hp to the track... These things are pretty nasty!

I've seen a FR500S outperform a modified Mustang Cobra on the circuit... and bad...

Must be nice to have such a rare car. Was surprised it was only 325hp. Was it detuned for this particular competition?

@iceguy2003 It is just a factory and sealed Mustang GT motor. It is the other components that make this car such a force on the circuit (braking, handling power to weight, etc...) 325hp in a 3,400-lb car is pretty decent, that is around the same weight as a heavily optioned Fox-Body GT... but this is setup to deal with the twisties... I bet this car is an absolute blast to drive on track (or the street...LOL!!!)
