  • the 2004-present Hyundai Sonata is assembled in

    Asan, Korea

    Montgomery, Alabama, United States

    Chennai, India

    Beijing, China

    İzmit, Turkey

    Cairo, Egypt

    Thonburi, Thailand

    Khartoum, Sudan

  • @Annihilator1111 I've always wanted to ask you somethin. I've seen you posting where certain cars are made in... How do you find where they're made at? and why do you post it on here? just wondering? thanks!

  • @hehh543 well most of them on Wikipedia :-)

  • @Annihilator1111 oh! okay, thanks :)

  • shit car

  • @Doctoratkins no it actually isnt people just say that cause its a hyundai but if you lok at some toyota camry crash tests or honda for 2006 they all basically did the same and on the toyota the tire went into the wheel well alot more and did mpre damage to the driver and passanger legs and feet

  • @pattycarljackson Good quality Poor design, drop like a stone, sloshing of petrol in tank a noticeable noise, the problem in the 2006 model and some 07 models. Unusually noisy suspension in the some 2006 models. The intake manifold has to be removed to change the spark plugs in the six cylinder version.

  • @Doctoratkins Have owned a '99 Elantra, an '06 4 cyl Sonata, and '07 V6 Sonata ('06 was totaled in a rear end collision. Those active head restraints really work!). No sloshing. No noisy suspension. Must remove the intake of most any V6 for tuneup, regardless, but Iridium plugs had extended change interval. Again, a moot point. But, all three shared the same problem: if I didn't drive or start them every day, they would be very difficult to start, and misfire for about the first 3 miles.

  • Looks identical to the Kia Optima crash test.

  • They're the same cars.

  • I know that. I drive the Optima.

  • safe car

  • Then why does the IIHS have different side impact ratings for both cars?

  • @BrownBrother27 they are both made different only some parts that hyundai uses are used on some of the kias.

  • did hyundai have to change the seats or just re enforced them?

  • They added a small plastic piece to keep the seatbelt from "catching" on the seat.

  • @noimadfritz all they did was put a plastic piece there from having the seat belt bull the seat back

  • @pattycarljackson ohh ok well i guess it worked...good job hyundai

  • wow...some of them are pretty bad crashing at that speed...but some are just made like that to lower the impact for the users though..

  • at what speed do they crash test them?

  • 40 m.p.h
