  • JEEZ...LOOK AT THE FUCKIN OUTBOARD MAN! ... CHECK OUT DEM FOCUSRITE'S !!!

  • great place we recorded there 2 months ago ....

  • great place

  • looks like a nice space... I agree, the guitar in the background sounds terrible. Thanks for the tour though!

  • ZOX recorded half of Line In the Sand here.

  • I doubt the studio authorized this video, in it's current state. Surely, they'd veto that soundtrack. I smell sabotage.

  • sounds like a battery powered amp with 2 knobs. lol

  • man why does that guitar in the background sound so shitty if you have this nice a studio ahaha

  • I was feeling and thinking the same thing. Its sound like ass don't it and I'm play the sound through studio speakers.

  • haha yeah me too man, krk all the way!

  • krk.... ha, same here....!

  • how do you work your way up to run all that.

    like schooling.

  • How much is that studio worth or how much did it cost to build and run that joint?

  • You know what they say right. If you have to ask you can't afford it :p Just kidding.

The cost for a pro to design the studio alone can cost you 100k. To build it probably another 3 or 400k. The console alone around 100k(excluding cables) the piano about 70k.

Total (including all amps, rack gear and construction and treatment), probably a couple million.

  • i love seattle.

i hope to move there outa college

  • would be nice to record there.. wow

  • That stone cant be good for reverb....

  • you want reverb in a studio, and stone can help a little, better than glass, glass kills reflections in most casses! the key is to have a mix of live and dead sound in the room. In the control room is were you want to keep reflections to minimum.

  • There are top end studio's that have a wood, stone, glass etc room. Why? because each has it's own sound.

Glass certainly doesn't kill reflections. All hard surfaces reflect the higher frequencies which give you reverb. What glass does do is let lower frequencies through.

  • what glass does*

There is a reason why it's called a 'live room'

  • Okay, i love how the video basically ends at 2:50, but its five and a half minutes long...

  • ZOX recorded here

  • good god. that electric guitar nearly induced suicide.

  • Nirvana's last recording session was here.

  • hell, i made plenty of money recording on my reel to reel tape recorder , who needs to pay all that frigin money for studio time hell , we got pc now .

  • Lots of people man.

  • death cab for cutie recorded their stuff there too, it is probably one of the main choice for recording an album

  • mmm.. no... not a main choice.

  • haha i think vaux recorded there

  • the guitar gives me a headache. mad clipping. (or it seems)

  • Don't ever sell that Studer 24 track! That's the gold in a gold record. Nice workbench. Any beers in the fridge?

  • what's with the wack clipping going on with the heavy guitar track?

  • Hey they got Analogpro pedal on the shelf, cool.

  • I've read about this studio. Dave Grohl singlehandedly recorded all instruments on the first Foo Fighters album here.

  • That chick doing the voice over sounds HOT!!! And the cutie in the video I wouldn't mind spending a few hours with!

  • Hey this studio has my name

  • Kenny G?

  • Crazy finding this video here. Some of the best tracks I ever did were at this place. Way back in the late 80's early 90's when it was nothing more than a cement block under Bobs house and an ongoing API restoration project. :-) Love this place.

  • Good job

  • Alright, here's a comment. I think this video is very rough, and we really did it just for fun. Yeah, I am the chic you see a couple times in the video and also I did the voice introduction <--- in my most professional voice of course, which is funny! THE WHOLE VIDEO IS ONLY about 2 MINS even though it says it's 5 MINS .. i dunno, that's all I got for now :/
