Another complaint of peta is that it takes more space to raise a pound of beef protien than it does to raise a pound of vegetable protien. This is true but if you look at a field where cattle are being raised it can sometimes have more diversity than a field where crops are being raised. So it is not a simple matter of beef = bad for the environment and vegetables = good for the environment.
Agriculture kills animals too. Thousands of small creatures like insects, rodents, lizards, snakes, turtles, etc. get plowed under in the creation of a field. Other animals that can escape the plow don't get killed directly but they lose their homes and their feeding or hunting grounds. I see hunting as no more unkind to animals than agriculture is.

@1NecroSpawn I am so confused after watching a video about PETA "euthanising" thousands of animals. I dont know the full story so maybe their is explanations for it but something doesnt add up. Other animal organisations deserve to be followed more. Peta has me confused. I dont agree with people jumping on it and using it as an argument for hunting. Hunting is a completely unneccesary and inhumane thing. Not right to kill animals but the thing that bothers me most is them suffering.

@Olimia963. couldn't control them naturally. The animals would die from Mange or Starvation. There has to be a balance that we can reach to control the environment. Oh and most of those garments we wear like faux fur, microfibers and gortex are not environmentally friendly. They destroy the same environment we try to protect.

The people who go to farms kill up to 95% by releasing them into the wild. They starve to death. These industries are controlled by agencys like Fish and Wildlife, DEC. I think these PETA people care way more about animals than they do human beings. If a deer and human being were stuck in a deep hole, I think they'd save the deer. Human life, in my opinion is way more important than that of an animal. Attacking and harassing huming beings because they choose to wear fur, leather and eat meat isn't ethical. Don't force your beliefs on anybody. People have the right to choose and do what they want.

actually, in many western countries it's compulsory for children to master the discipline of swimming at a relatively early age. i gained a swimming certificate when i was about 7 years old. i was tought the basic mechanics and to a degree where i could swim myself out of deep waters. dogs tend to not be able to swim until a later age, if at all. some dogs never become adaptable to water. so i can actually see the logic in this girl's decision. personally, i'd go for the puppy too.
