@appapo3 - you can search for that info, i read in some science inet page that tibetans looooooong ago went to america (at that time is wasn't america yet lol) & became the first americans (indians later they were called).. really you can see, find some similarities between indians (both-north & south america) & tibetans- motives in national clothes, national haircuts style (tail of hair, feather in it sometimes or collar..), of ourse skin colour, face type & lineament, & so on..

I'll be happy to answer this from my honest opinion after watching some spoken Tibetan videos. It sounds a lot like French and a bit of Indian mixed together. If I didn't know it was Tibetan, I would have mistaken it for a European language. Though it borders China, it sounds far from the Chinese language because it's not tonal.
