What everyone seems to be forgetting is that the tragedy of 9/11 came about from a simple lapse in very ordinary police and security procedures, a lapse that allowed the hijackers to bring weapons onto airliners. The FAA was aware of many airport security problems, but failed to act because of pressure from airlines. The Administration had warning that bin Laden was determined to strike inside the US, but did nothing about airport security. Terrorism *is* a police issue, not a military one.

You are right. This a police issue and not a military one. But there is another BIG part of the problem a lot of people MISS. That is OUR foriegn policy. The different administrations have been doing a LOT of things to upset this. We have overthrown some of their elected leaders and put in some of our PUPPET DICTATORS. Sadam Husein was one. We have to clean up the mess in our own government TOO, if we want to STOP terrorism from coming to us.

You are Right. Some of the people in these prisons are there because the US was paying people to turn in suspected TERRORIST. People of Iraq had grudges with one another and would turn someone in to settle the grudge and get paid at the same time. Many if not MOST of the prisoners are not guilty of terrorism.
