  • "this is for advanced solvers" *leans back*

  • ...I thought orienting was placing, and permutating was making it face the right direction...

hence OLL and PLL steps of the fridrich method. In the vid you made it sound like orienting was making it face the right direction

  • @TheDrGuard hes orientating the corners so he can place them easier

either the U color or the D color is on top and bottom corners

  • @TheDrGuard There are 57 OLL (Orientation Last Layer) algorithms used to make one solid color on the top face, but not necessarily have the correct order of the pieces. There are 21 PLL algorithms (Permutation Last Layer) that puts the pieces into a certain order while maintaining the solid color on top and putting the pieces into the right order.

So basically, Orientation is 2 pieces clockwise or counter clockwise, and Permutation is moving those pieces into the correct order.

  • so I get it. so even if the undisturb zone corner is oriented from the scramble u ignore that fact and orient the other 7 corners, thanks dude.

  • Thanks buddy! I followed this and you taught me! Keep it up!

  • that was so funny

  • 2.20 am its not that easey...

  • it's for pros, but it's not that hard??

  • is this method faster than M2/old pochmann?

  • what's the nome of the method please (sorry if a write mistake, I'm french)

  • yo vscxz384. i learned this in a week and the first time i tried to solve it blindfolded i got it. so haaaaaaa

  • you know, you only need to memorize 3 algs. just use the alg for corner placing but use the A sticker as the buffer zone

  • whats your fastest solve? (not blind just regular) and what method? mines 22 + modified fridrich with intuitive f2l

  • thats our teacher! i was expecting tom cruise... LOL! he looks like tom from even stevens sorry for being rude seerusgod NO HARD FEELINGS ITS JUST A FUN JOKE JKJKJK

  • and omg!! he messed up!!

  • yea right!!!! he learn how to blindsolve in one day

  • where do u learn this?

  • i dont understand this... If you have to memorise it, and where all the colours go once you move them, why not use the 'green cross method'

i came accross this, because I've heard that theres a way to blindfold without memo- true?

  • If you can actually blindsolve without memorizing anything, then you will be the greatest cuber ever. There's absolutely no way that's possible.

  • damn... lol, but still, if you have to memo, why not just use green cross method, most people learn that first?

  • if you want to keep track of where all the pices are and are going with the green cross method than go ahead but this meathod lets you keep track of all your pices

  • What "Green Cross Method" are you talking about? Layer by layer? You can't solve without memorizing. If you're planning to use first two layers lets see what would happen with you on the last layer. That's 1211 cases for ya.

  • @seerusgod I like your video. And I appreciate your video. I even promoted your channel on one of my rubik's videos on my other channel. But you're pretty much a douche bag with the way you talk to people on here. You know, you were a beginner once, so you should understand that people aren't going to understand everything all at once.

  • i used the very cube that i used to learn how to solve a cube. i tried using my diy but i guess my first cube has some magic..

  • hey man thanx a lot!!!!! i've been only solving da rubik's cube 4 less than 2 weeks n i wanted 2 try da blindfold solve n da other videos are confusing but now i finally can solve it blindfolded thanx 2 u!!! i hv 2 improve my memorising time tho..

  • cool cube videos, and very helpful!

  • PRACTICE MORE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you no its funny u say its for advaned solvers only and before i came to this i had only none how to solve the cube for 2 weeks and it tooks only a week or to to understand it ethere ur a good teacher or sumtin here is wierd

  • just a suggestion... can you please add the links for your other blind tutorials on the "info" part.... most of us here in the Philippines learned BLD from your tutorial...

  • your a filipino?

  • yep

  • what method is this 3-cycle?

  • what does R U Ri and so on, mean? (:

  • I don't want to waste my time with a stupid question like that.

  • are u taking about me

  • If I was talking about you, I would've responded to your comment, but I didn't.

  • ok my bad then

  • Comment removed

  • @seerusgod so why did you reply in the first place?

you commented like 2 years ago you don't have too reply.

  • @seerusgod Don't be a prick. I'm sure you didn't know what any of it meant before you learnt. WHy couldn't you just answer the persons question instead of being a smart ass.

  • its just notation for what sides to turn and which way to turn them

  • @EmmaLovesShoes that stuff is the notation so R would mean you have to move the right side clock-wise, U means you have to turn the top face or up face clock-wise Ri on the other hand means for this case that you have to turn the right side counter-clock-wise.

  • @EmmaLovesShoes it means R=right L=left U=upper D=down B=back I=inverse R= rotate right side up Ri= rotate right side down L= rotate left side up Li= rotate left side down
  • it means R=right L=left U=upper D=down B=back I=inverse R= rotate right side up Ri= rotate right side down L= rotate left side up Li= rotate left side down
  • um sry my notation is diffrent wat isthe algorithin

  • Very nice vid! I understand the concepts and everything completely just got to memorize the algs which I will do later cause' I'm half way through memorizing the PLL in Fridrich :-)

  • 7.03 says Ri Li R

  • Yes.

  • I was just about to say that. Wouldn't that be a little pointless to do two extra moves? But I still like the vid, I think it will help me out a lot in blind solving the cube.

  • Tis' is true, but it is done that way(in paranthesis) to make memorization, easier.

  • you shouldnt talk in collors , every1 should take there own collors that suit themselves best and i got atleast 4 difrent collor schemes of cubes myself

and i would advice learn blind solving from a pdf file that is somewhere on the internet , it works good.

ps : i cant blind solve , i cant remember 20 numbers rofl ^^ i write the sequences and solve it under my table

and your orient way of solving isnt realy easy , there are easyer methodes.

  • Yu rite verry badly, and I reely dont carre about yuu.

  • don't copy the guy u replied to, it makes you look like the idiot

  • man, thanks! ive learned how to blindsolve now. ur vid really helped. do you know the 3-cycle method? it seems the algs are much faster but the tutorials i found are pretty complex. tnx again.

  • When I am on the edge step, I always get a stream of 24 letters, when it should be about 12 waht is wrong. I double chek

  • could you show it slowly and talk less..

  • nice video :-p

  • i tried the algotherim and it did not really work and you said that you can't move the top or left side but could you help me please.

  • Don't try this if you don't understand it. The algorithm works, you're just doing it wrong.

  • hey dude when you have looked at the cube and you start to solve it do you move all the corners so that the are on the side your solving first the top but they dont have to be oriented right

  • you CAN move the left side BUT ONLY IN AN ALGORITHM!!!!HE SAID THAT!!

  • ok so i can get all the corners oriented on the top layer but i cant do it to the bottom layer.

i turn the cube around but then all the other corners get screwed up

  • i dont understand how the buffer zone is on the top left front side if that corner is only moved twice during the whole algorithm...waht am i doing wrong?cause when i follow your algorithm my top right front side flips

  • What are the odds. That's what I said would happen.

  • how do you blindsolve it if you have to look at the corners to see whether it needs to turn clockwise or counter-clockwise? How do you know until you have, in this video, yellow or white on top? Did I miss something?

  • YES!!!! YOU MISSED EVERYTHING!!!

  • u memorize it first

it takes practice u memorize which way the corners go and where they have to go to make the checker patern the corners never change position till you get to the algorithm to move them around.. ill email u if u r still having probs

  • nice hair

  • how do you get your cubes to slide so easily? That is a key point in going fast, right?

  • My cube in this video isn't really that fast. In fact, it's pretty slow. If you spray it with silicone spray, then it'll loosen up.

  • great tutorial i just sometimes cant get A and C right on the B and D face =/

  • woo hoo view 10,000

  • what is buffer and disturb zone then,i seriously dont really get everything

  • If you don't understand it, don't attempt it. It only gets harder from here.

  • but im seriously determined to try this

  • and buffer zone,u said, means the zone u wanted to change, but the "disturbed zone" also did "change" the direction, yeah?

  • Yes, I said this would happen.

  • okay,so disturbed zone is always the one behind the place u want to turn the piece(when the buffer zone is at bottom left of the up side)

  • Yes, the buffer zone is the U/F/L piece.

  • okay,so,the first step is just to make all the top corners in place?or just white pointing up?(sorry,im confused)

  • You need to turn each corner so white or yellow is facing up on the U layer and down on the D layer.

  • so do they need to be in the correct POSITION as well?

  • no, they only need to be oriented right

  • Aye, how do you come to a conclusion where the buffer zone and where the "Undisturbed" zone is? When you pick a side like Red(Face), will the buffer always be on the bottom left on the white side(Top)?

  • The buffer zone is the F/L/U corner and the undisturbance zone is the B/L/U corner.

  • I prefer using + signs and - signs at this part (+ clockwise, - anticlockwise), instead of the C and A, works quite good for me.

I've just done my first blindsolve =D I'm so happy!

  • Wow, some of these people are asking really dumb questions...ive started watching your video, looks good so far =]

  • Dude i haveto say thank you for these videos I can now do blindfolded solves. Anybody who wants to blindsolve watch these videos. you'll get it.

  • It's means the up layer.

  • If you don't know what U means, you shouldn't be doing this.

  • dude....is this the roux method....blindfolding??...

  • nevermind, it means R inverse, L inverse ect.

  • what does Li, Ri Ui ect. mean? i've learned u and r ect. but not Li Ri ect.

  • umm..if they were to do it blindfolded,

how would u know where the colours on each square are? then how are u surpose to orientate and stuff...

  • Wow. Dumb question. If you blindsolve, you're supposed to memorize it first, then blindfold yourself and solve it.

  • Couldnt you just as well use the R'D'RD/RDR'D' algorithms? It does exactly the same thing and it would work for either 4 corners or all of them.

It shouldn't be any harder to memorise either.

  • it doesn't always work

  • As i said, it would work for all or 6 pieces (maybe 4 as well but im not sure). It can save a bit of time (every second counts)

  • And if it only works for 6 (instead of whole 8) the URURURUR would still work for the rest.

  • not necessarily. it would have to be perfect in order to do that

  • oh ... thnx!!!

  • BTW....how do we know if the edges are misoriented???? thnx!!!

  • there isnt a way. edges can only b oriented if they r in the right spot

  • what about the edges???

  • youll learn them later

  • (R U Ri Ui R U Ri Ui) Li (U R Ui Ri U R Ui Ri) L????? what does that mean. I usually know these types of notations: U=top face clockwise and U'=top face counter clockwise and the same for the rest of the letter and also why are there parenthesis? And lastly what is the L for? iono that prolly doesn't make sense to you but if it does can you translate your 1st algorithm in a way that i would understand

  • ignore the parentheses. theyre only there because theres another alg where the 2 parentheses r switched. L stands for left. if u cant understand this notation, dont attempt this.

  • how do you know if this is oriented???? and if not??

  • right now, only look 2 see if a corner is oriented. lets say your top face is white. then, you need to turn all corners so on top and bottom, the corners are either white or yellow. its only oriented if it is white or yellow (opposite colors)

  • What's your average in speedsolving?

  • for regular solving, I usually get 50 seconds. for blindsolving plus memo, it takes me 5:20.

  • u are a massive geek......thats all iu can say

  • please send me a link with just the algorithms.

  • Stop saying that no shit, it's annoying. Kthnxbye

  • nvm i get it

  • Ok i got the algorithms But When Solving The Rubix, But The Orientin parts, Do we need to solve All Four sides corners of white and yellow?

  • good stuff keep uploading next parts

    thanks:)

  • Most helpful tutorial out there, but I still need a better method for memorizing the cube. If I can simply memorize the cube, I know more than enough algorithms to solve it.
